This is a new Restaurant in our area. Seafood Cajun style. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. We got the boil in bag combination of shrimp, crawfish, crablegs and mussels- it comes with 2 pieces of corn and two medium sized potatoes. We got the crab du jour seasoning in a mild heat- the seafood fresh and the sauce very tasty . Our waitress Chanice was very pleasant, and helpful. It was a nice atmosphere. We would revisit. On this revisit we added the fish basket as our appetizer. It wss delicious- tge fish seasoned just right with a touch of malt vinegar, and the fries - hot and crisp.

I have never felt so disrespected in my entire life. Yesterday, I went to have dinner with my boyfriend. We arrived to the restaurant and we're sat down beside people who were drinking heavily. Our waitress moved us and asked what we would like to have. We ordered hush puppies for an appetizer, a fried fish basket with fries and 1 cluster of crab legs with shrimp and old bay seasoning. Another waitress was sweeping the dirt from the other table towards ours while singing aloud. Our waitress brought the appetizer to the table and it was a basket of fried calamari. I explained to the waitress that we ordered hush puppies. She left the calamari on the table and went to the back of the restaurant. She came back with hush puppies and our food. I opened my bag and there was no sauce in my bag. I frequent this restaurant and have never had issues before. I asked to speak with the manager and he would not come to our table. My boyfriend spoke with him and let him know we were very upset with our service. We did not touch any of our food and the manager told my boyfriend that before we could leave we had to pay for the food that we did not eat. I felt completely threatened at this point. The manager made the waitress come over with the menu three times to tell me that my food was supposed to be "dry". She brought "garlic butter" and it was completely clumped together. I was so upset that I began to cry. I went to the front and paid for the meal. I tried to explain how upset I was and the manager walked off. I will not be returning to this restaurant ever. This is very disappointing and if I could I would give zero stars. Chris S. really hurt my feelings yesterday. I am recommending that none of my friends or family return to the Lynchburg Crab du jour.

Order was wrong 3 times...appetizer was never rung in...food was cold...ordered "seasoned" steamed shrimp and was served "plain" steamed shrimp so THE OWNER took it back to get it corrected and then brought out the "same" shrimp in a bowl of melted butter with seasoning! We were only 1 of 3 tables in the whole restaurant and merely a party of 3! SMDH!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

The food was OK but it wasn’t great. The lobster tail over-cooked and rubbery. They also had little meat on them. The waiter tried to justify it by saying, that’s how they all come, and they were all cooked fresh in the morning. If they were cooked fresh in the morning, that means they sat for quite a while. I lived on the ocean side for more than 10 years and I guess I’m spoiled.The service wasn’t so great. The waiter kept trying to make us make a decision without even having a minute or two to look at the menu, and became impatient that we asked for a few more minutes. The waiter only came by one time.When I got the bill, I realized why. They add an 18% gratuity to your bill, whether you like it or not. I would’ve given a 10% because we didn’t really get service.So I just cut my losses and we’ll find someplace else to dine in the future.

Went in with low expectations and I can honestly say I was impressed. The food tasted very delicious and was quite fresh for the most part. Things do tend to be a bit on the saltier side, but all in all i would recommend. The mussels where quite good and the crayfish and shrimp were delicious. I ordered my entree hot on the spice scale and was a little disappointed in that it wasn’t very spicy at all.
You can only order from one side of the menu, which was very disappointing. After spending 15 minutes to decide what 4 of us wanted to eat, the waitress informed 3 of us that we couldn't order what we wanted, because they weren't serving anything from that side of the menu. Should have told us that to start with. What food we did order, was delicious.Parking: Plenty of parking spaces.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, there is.

I eat here often however, today I was really hurt by what I saw and what I heard while dining in. There was only one server while two other servers Chris and Patricia “call themselves management” set back laughing and joke with each other walk around as if they own the place being very mean and talking to her as if she was a child. She continue to do her job serving everyone that was dining in all while sweeping, mopping, and cleaning tables with absolutely no help. It literally broke my heart. I could have cried for her. She remain sweet and committed to her customers all while under so much pressure from other teammates.

I absolutely LOVE this place! The food is outstanding and the waitstaff are amazing. I actually crave their shrimp boil, spicy hot, of course ?. We drive over 80 miles one way to enjoy Crab Du Jour. Highly recommend!

I use to get the shrimp basket from here all the time, very frequent customer. The two times I have ordered, they forgot to give cocktail, my favorite thing about the meal, the second time they gave me marinara instead of cocktail. I understand mistakes happen, I was a GM in the food industry. I understand it's easy to confuse the two sauces. What gets me, is there unwillingness to make things right. They truly do not care. It's the first store I have seen that refuses to make there mistakes right or do anything what so ever. So not only am I leaving this review, I would recommend dockside, if you are looking for a good shrimp basket, they also will make things right if they make a mistake.
