Took my family to Delicias to celebrate my birthday on a Saturday for lunch. I told the man that we had a party of 10, and all he said was “you’re supposed to call ahead.” VERY disappointed to receive that kind of reception. We were excited to try Delicias and support a local business that has been begging for business, but I guess they do not want business after all since they lost an easy $200-300 meal from us.
So very delicious authentic Latin food. The prices are so reasonable.
Saltado is good food!

Delicia's is a restaurant in Lynchburg with two locations. The food is always delicious, fresh, and capably rendered, offering a delicious cuisine that is not fancy. The tradition is Latin American cuisine, and all the food is homemade. Specific dishes enjoyed include pupusas, tamales, Ropa Vieja, fried plantains, carne asada, and chocoflan. The pupusas are of good quality, though on the smaller side, and come with appropriate fixins. Mixing and matching flavors like beans and loroco is worth it. The carne asada is particularly praised as the best and so tasty, sometimes served helpfully with white rice even if not ordered. A fajita is also offered. The homemade hot sauce has a good bite and a great taste. For drinks, they have mixed drinks and week day specials. A non-alcoholic drink called Marañon is really good, but a beverage made from the cashew fruit was found to be quite bland, with better tropical juices to order.
The service is always great, excellent, helpful, and friendly. The wait staff makes customers feel special. While there can be a wait for food, this indicates it is made fresh when ordered. The space is clean and in better condition at this particular location. Overall, it is a good place for a fresh twist on Mexican food, with a great meal and awesome service that ensures customers will definitely be back and highly recommend it.
