This little Mexican restaurant is the best gem in Lynchburg, too many know little about.
Don’t be fooled by the size; this place makes excellent food! They are killing it. I mean no shade to the other Mex restaurants; but I’ve stopped going anywhere else. Their menu is stacked; but here’s my top 5; and everything else is close after that! 1. Baleades 2. Nachos (off the chain) 3. Chimichangas 4. Tacos 5. Soles (6.) Empanadas! (Uh, this could be #2!)
Plus large $5.00 Margaritas! Come on; it’s a must try.

Flor was my waitress the last few times I’ve been out to eat at this legendary restaurant. I’ve been going to “El Camino” for over a decade and hands down the environment and music choice is just as great as the food choice. You get the feeling like you’ve walked into an authentic restaurant in Latin America. The dish I have here is called “menudo” which for any out there who know what the dish is, well let’s just say. It’s one of those IYKYK type of ordeals. Also the combination of different types of tacos is great compared to competitors around town. I recommend eating here if you like great hospitality and even better food!

The food was not bad, but the overall greasiness of it didn’t make it great either. Free refills on chips is definitely a plus and the service is definitely prompt and appropriate. Worth a try at least!

Easily the best Mexican I've had in Lynchburg everything was fresh and delicious. La Caretta COULD NEVER. 10/10 will be coming here again whenever the mood for Mexican strikes. I got the Honduras Breakfast and my husband got the chorizo chimichangas. The fried plantains were amazing and the chips were obviously not in the bottom of a trash can for 3 days before serving.
Great food. Wonderful hosts. Everything I have had here has been amazing. I told my 15 year old son he could choose anywhere to eat his birthday dinner tonight and he chose El Camino. My kids love it and the owners are lovely. The prices are reasonable for this authentic restauraunt. We need to support this gem.♡♡♡

My husband and I have loved El Camino for years! It does not disappoint. They serve delicious, authentic food that will keep you coming back. We have always loved the tacos, but they are even more amazing now that they are served with homemade tortillas. We have not ordered anything we have not liked. El Camino is one of the restaurant gems of Lynchburg! You should definitely support this local spot 🙂

This is not a big flashy building. It's simple and it works. The food is really good. I had the Beef Menudo, and it was delicious. The chips and salsa aren't the normal store bought. They make almost everything there.
