The food was not bad, but the overall greasiness of it didn’t make it great either. Free refills on chips is definitely a plus and the service is definitely prompt and appropriate. Worth a try at least!
Love it... place is awesome
Easily the best Mexican I've had in Lynchburg everything was fresh and delicious. La Caretta COULD NEVER. 10/10 will be coming here again whenever the mood for Mexican strikes. I got the Honduras Breakfast and my husband got the chorizo chimichangas. The fried plantains were amazing and the chips were obviously not in the bottom of a trash can for 3 days before serving.
Great food. Wonderful hosts. Everything I have had here has been amazing. I told my 15 year old son he could choose anywhere to eat his birthday dinner tonight and he chose El Camino. My kids love it and the owners are lovely. The prices are reasonable for this authentic restauraunt. We need to support this gem.♡♡♡
My husband and I have loved El Camino for years! It does not disappoint. They serve delicious, authentic food that will keep you coming back. We have always loved the tacos, but they are even more amazing now that they are served with homemade tortillas. We have not ordered anything we have not liked. El Camino is one of the restaurant gems of Lynchburg! You should definitely support this local spot 🙂
Authentic affordable Mexican food. Friendly staff
Best Mexican food I have ever had.
This is not a big flashy building. It's simple and it works.
The food is really good. I had the Beef Menudo, and it was delicious. The chips and salsa aren't the normal store bought. They make almost everything there.
DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT order from here!!!!! Horrible service - the server was the sweetest nicest person I’ve ever met but the way they run their business it should be sold to the lowest bidder. Didn’t even get to try anything since I had to wait 48+ minutes for chicken and freaking rice - DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!
This place seems to be going downhill recently. I keep going back because I used to love them, but they are getting so stingy with their portions; every time the dishes get smaller and smaller. I ordered the mixed fajitas a few days ago and got a spoonful of literal crumbs of chicken, less than a 2oz portion of protein on a 15 dollar plate. Chicken talavera was the same thing, basically just a plate of rice with no protein. Flautas used to be big, now they're they size of my little finger. I recognize food prices are goin up but this is getting out of hand and just plain greedy. Won't return because we feel like we're getting ripped off.
Restaurantji Recommends
This is by far, the best Mexican food, hands-down that I’ve ever had in Virginia. I lived in Southern California my whole life till a few years ago and I really missed good quality Mexican food. This is hands-down the best I’ve ever had in Virginia. I highly recommend this place and the owners are amazing as well. The Menudo is amazing and the huevos rancheros were top notch!
I had Fajitas and they were great.
Delicious
It’s simple, the owners have great attitudes, the food is fresh and made to order. I truly enjoy taking folks to El Camino for lunch or dinner.
