Food selection is spot on. Food was delicious! Service was great. Price matched the quality of food and service. Grey's food is a 5 star! However, the justified $100+ for 2 didn't quite match the aesthetic.

Visited 1.5hrs before closing, food was over cooked/ dry for some. Others had a great meal. The staff sold food that wasn’t available but didn’t come to tell us this until we asked for the additional sides we were missing. The staff started cleaning up and flipping chairs well before the closing hour. Felt like we were rushed the entire meal. Would likely pass if given the opportunity to visit again.

Quaint little restaurant with amazing food. If you plan to come, book a reservation in advance due to limited seating (but the bar is great and first come first serve seating). We enjoyed a Sunday brunch and every dish was so flavorful and unique. Finished off our meal with the blueberry bread pudding pumpkin spice cake and they were perfect. Highly recommend. Food and ambiance is just special.

Hands down, one of my favorite places to dine. The trout cakes...they infiltrate my dreams. There's been a hiccup or two, as far a service goes, but nothing that really stood out. Always a pleasure. Grey's is a real treat.Wheelchair accessibility: My sister-in-law is in a wheelchair. We took her once and while they were accommodating, they had to open the doors that lead to the front sidewalk. This involved moving tables and making adjustments. It got quite a bit of attention from the other guests and it was a little embarrassing for my sister-in-law. Maybe keep the way clear at ALL times for handicap access. No one likes being a spectacle.

Where do I begin? This place is absolutely amazing. There's a standard menu with a little this and a little that. They also have a board with the specialties of the day/week. The smoked salmon cakes are my absolute favorite. Next the fried oysters are perfectly fried and crispy and meaty. There's an array of beer on tap. It's not very big inside but on nice days you can sit outside. Sunday brunch is also delicious but if you want to go early then you should call for a reservation. The atmosphere is great. They only thing that may disappoint you is when the sell out of one of their specials. Call ahead and see what they have and preorder. They do not disappoint.

One of the best places in Lynchburg! The food is amazing. Think southern comfort food dialed up to maximum by a top tier chef. Nothing I've had has ever been anything but amazing. Would recommend to everyone.

The fried green tomatoes are fantastic! The staff is friendly and the vibe is great. The bartender makes a killer Negroni. The specials are always on point. We love it at Grey’s.Parking: Parking can be a bit tough during dinner. There is street parking on the side streets.

First time to Grey's. I went based on ratings and was not disappointed. I enjoyed the trout cake with fried egg on sourdough. Creamy grits on the side. And the coffee was a satisfying end to the meal.

On our way home from New York City, I brought my wife to Grey's in Lynchburg, VA. My wife love's seafood so in addition to the Fried Green Tomatoes starter, we ordered Smoked Trout Cakes from the diverse yet focused menu and the Seared Scallops from the specials board. The appetizer was visually appealing with three large deep fried slices of green tomato topped with pimento cheese and arugula. The tomatoes were firm and fresh, fried to perfection. The combination of the flavors was delicious and felt like a warm welcome back to the South. We split the large entrees and still took home about a third of each. The Trout Cakes were cooked perfectly with a flavorful sear on each side. They were served with taste fingerling potatoes and asparagus that was yielding yet firm to the teeth. I have not seen trout cakes anywhere else and proprietor & chef, Shawn Merrow has really struck gold with this unique menu mainstay. Finally, the pan seared sea scallops was a beautiful dish featuring fresh scallops expertly seared over a bed of rich, luscious grits topped with roasted corn, cherry tomatoes, and arugula. In NYC, a fine bistro would have been proud to serve this spectacular dish and charge $50 or more. At Grey's, $27.I give Greys my highest rating. It's a warm environment with alert, helpful waitstaff, a full bar that includes local craft brews, and tasty, imaginative food atreasonable prices; it's the whole package.
