We took the family here and had a great time. The family had chicken tikka masala and I had the lamb vindaloo. Both excellent dishes. The staff made sure everything was cooked fine for us and gave us good advice for desserts!

There are numerous, clearly marked vegan options on the menu. I had the Dal soup and black bean salad and my wife had vegetable biryani. We had vegan ice cream for dessert and everything was delicious. The owners are very friendly and go out of their way to accommodate special requests. We will definitely be back.

Nice late lunch on our way back to NC. Some of the best Indian food I’ve had. Owner was pleasant and helpful. If I lived in Lynchburg we would be regulars here.

I had heard good things about this place so I came to try it with my boyfriend. The server was very friendly and kind so we didn't mind waiting awhile. Though it did take upwards of 35 minutes to get our food so if you want somewhere quick this place isn't for you. When we finally did get our food, the portions were extremely small and not what I'd expect for the price of 14 dollars. We both ordered the lamb and chicken gyro combo and it was extremely dry with not a lot of flavor. I hate to do this as the people in the store were both so kind and very welcoming. The portions and food itself just need some work. Maybe we needed to order something different but for now I can't recommend eating here off the food alone.

This place is amazing!! The name doesn’t do it justice- this joint has wonderful Mediterranean dishes as well as beautifully colorful Indian flavors. There were five of us and we each got something different, but they were all absolutely awesome! Even though they were understaffed, the workers were so kind and personal. There was a peaceful atmosphere in the restaurant and the food was amazing- what more could you ask for! Bonus- the prices are incredibly reasonable (:
Dietary restrictions: My sister has a severe gluten intolerance and the server quickly chopped her up some vegetables for the hummus. Also most of the dishes here are naturally vegan/gluten free which ROCKS!!!

My first experience at the Hot and Cold Cafe was probably hands down the best experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I walked in as a stranger and left feeling like family. It was my first time trying Indian food and it was amazing. Not to mention the chef made everything to order so he was able to accommodate my gluten allergy and dairy restrictions easily. I will certainly be going back to try new things
Vegetarian options: They have a significant amount of vegetarian and vegan options.
Dietary restrictions: I have a severe wheat allergy and since everything was made to order it was easy for the chef to accommodate my needs.
