Fun place for college students. Food was okay, service was okay depending on which bar you went to and ambiance was tons of fun.

Great local hangout - inside and outside seating and two nice bar areas. Service has always been quick and pleasant in my experience - even when the place is relatively packed. Menu is fairly varied so it should be easy to find something to everyone's liking. Never had a bad appetizer or full meal there. Highly recommend whether you're there on your own or with a party.

On April 10th 2024, I went into Iron and Ale with a friend of mine to eat. The food was great, the server seemed sweet as well. Until I looked at my credit card statement online. I gave the waitress a little more than 20%. My meal was around 20.00 after taxes and I gave her a $4 tip. When I looked at my statement online it said that I gave her a $40 tip. So I went to Iron and Ale to speak with the manager. He took up for the waitress saying she always so honest and sweet. She took me for a fool in my opinion. She didn’t make a mistake she knew exactly what she was doing. So beware when you tip the waitresses with a card. They refunded me the 36.00 dollars still giving her the $4 tip. Which was just crazy in my opinion. They should have done more.

Look, Iron and Ale is always busy, and that's a good thing. It's a testament to their food, their service, and their location. There aren't many two floor restaurants in Lynchburg (are there any?), let alone two floor restaurants with an attached tiki bar. Since they opened, Iron and Ale has consistently delivered great tasting food, and is one of Lynchburg's best dining options.

Little disappointed this time, burger was kind of bland, it is normally much better than this.

Sat at the bar for a quick drink with my wife. Left a 15% tip on a credit card. Was fraudulently charged for a 47% tip.

We were in town for Spring Break and stopped here for dinner. We were seated on the patio upon request and enjoyed the setting with TVs and being enclosed to keep the chill out. The service was outstanding and we all loved our meals. We would absolutely go back if in the area and highly recommend to others.Kid-friendliness: My son had the kid's cheeseburger which was a great portion size with the fries and included drink.

My husband and I got the surf and turf as well as the lobster mac. Both were fantastic. The sauce on the steak was *chefs kiss* ?. The lobster mac stood out the most though. Wow. Yummy. Vicky was our server and she was AMAZING! And the strawberry lime cider was good. All in all it was a great experience. Thanks guys!

Had the Hanger Steak, and it was crazy good. Medium Rare is the way to go. I recommend the Tater Tots for sure! Unlike any that you have had.
