After moving here from NJ, I asked about Pizza places. Most ppl said go to JoJo. So I went. Higher expectations since it was talked about so much. I should keep them lower. I ordered a plain pie. My surprise was that it looked like someone made it at home. The Crust was plain, and cheese was as if the Pizza maker just piled it in the middle, sauce tasted like Ragu ( although good for a quick meal at home, not for a pie) The place could use some TLC if you stay to eat there.Personally, I say for good Pie, if you want this place, save your money and make it at home

I am a transplanted New Yorker. I have been trying all the pizzerias in Lynchburg over the course of several years looking for one that made pizza as good as what I had in NY. I finally found one! Jo Jo pizza is the best. You can even get a giant pizza like they sell in NY. You can fold the slice before eating! I only gave 4 stars because I think the cost of extra toppings is pretty high. For taste.

JoJo’s is my go to now for pizza and Italian food! My husband and I were both University of Lynchburg graduates and JoJo’s was apart of campus life! I think they have the best pizza in Lynchburg and they are consistent! Which is important! Everyone is nice and the prices are great!

Probably the best pizza with ever had in Virginia. Very friendly place. There’s a bar when you walk in and people say hello to you people behind the counter are. Clearly happy working there. It’s a good place.

So far JoJos has produced some of my favorite pizza in town. I had a personal pepperoni and had some of my friends Chicago style deep dish. While we were there the staff had to deal with one belligerent customer, but handled it very well. I hope to be dining there more often!

I ordered a meat lovers calzoned. The crust was perfectly browned and tasted great. As for the rest of it, not so much. As I was eating it I kept getting a bad taste. Some kind of cheese almost like ricotta cheese. I don't like ricotta because of the texture. I also kept getting bites of the meat which the texture of it was mushy like fake meat. I opened up the calzone to look at the meat and what I guess would have been sausage was gross and had very little flavor again the texture was odd. The ham (I am guessing) looked odd and the texture again seemed off. Even the pepperoni didn't seem quite right. I was getting mouthfuls of the cheese which to me seemed too much. It started becoming lumps of cheese in my mouth. I spit quite a bit of the filling onto my plate and just mainly ate the crust. I will never go there again for food after such a bad calzone. The great thing like I said was the crust and the frost mug of water to go with it. I loved the atmosphere and they have a pool table which would be nice to go play maybe enjoy a beer but not to eat unless it has no meat.Kid-friendliness: There is a little area like a game room. I didn't go into it to see what else besides the pool table. There were 2 kids in there playing the pool table and seemed to be having fun.
