“Be sure you have lots of time if u visit Al Ryan's as he makes everything fresh. The food was wonderful and u can tell it has been prepared just for you. Al gave me some Curry to sample and it was amazing. wonderful spice pallet. the lamb used in the dishes was prepared perfectly. It was moist and savory just like I remember it in New York. Al is a wonderful guy and deserves your business.“

“Definitely a facirite olace of mine to eat at. Everything is high quality food and so many healthy options. If you are vegan, you'll have plenty to choose from, which is rare. The bowls are big, I usually have 2 meals out of one of them. The falafel is very well made, the dressings are different but delicious. The drinks are really good too. I love the citrus/tropical one. But there are also good meat choices as well. Everyone can be happy. A rarity when I go out to eat with people.“

“Good food. Not the best Mediterranean, but for sure better than the expectation of in-campus dining food. Good portion, good taste, good value.Service is good too. You would tell them what you want right in front of you and they serve it right then and there.They open for such a short period of time that it was hard to take some time to come here for lunch, but I think it was worth the experience. “Just tried Downtown Cairo in Madison Heights…OMG 10 out of 10 recommend!! We got the Mediterranean bowl with shawarma, Egyptian burger, a chicken and cheese quesadilla, and two orders of chicken nuggets and fries (kids lol). Everything tasted amazing. The service was incredible. All around a great experience and we will be going back regularly!“
