While waiting on our order we watched one worker fill her personal cup with the ice scoop. She stuck in completely down in her personal cup then placed it back in the holder to be used for orders without washing it. Then the same employee along with another one ate what looked like cake over the open ice bin and on the counter where orders were being made. After working in food service I know these are against health regulations.
I arrived to Lynchburg last night at 7:45pm and immediately came to Mission House and left so disappointed. I moved to TN 3 years ago and try to visit any time I get to come back. As soon as I got up to the counter to order, I was told I can only get hot drip coffee or an iced coffee… no espresso or anything because they had shut the bar down. I ended up leaving empty handed… I understand not making food or anything close to closing, but why stay open as a coffee shop till...
I’ve been here several times now and what has stood out to me is the coffee is delicious and the service is phenomenal. They seem seem very intentional about using their business as a blessing to others and it shows in the service. I look forward to next time!
