Old world Italian atmosphere - fast, friendly service, and authentic Italian food! I was in Lynchburg for the day. I googled Italian restaurants and this one came up third -but something told me to go and check it out. I’m so glad I did! I will be looking for excuses to come back to Lynchburg so I can eat at Monte Carlo’s.

Fresh and crunchy lettuce in the Caesar salad. Garlic knots that will leave you asking for more. I had the cheese ravioli in tomato sauce and I promise you I could taste the Italian grandmother’s love in this sauce!

Have loved this restaurant & owners since it opened.
Just enjoyed a Margarita pizza with Italian sausage added. Absolute perfection, so flavorful, so delicious!

In short, it’s bad. Pizza and pasta both were really bad. Pizza was soggy, flimsy, and made with very cheap ingredients. Sauce was watery and bland. Pasta looked/tasted like barilla. They use food lion ice cream for their dessert.
Atmosphere is nice/nostalgic, I can tell this used to be a nice place 20-30 years ago. But today, you’d be better off with canned sauce and frozen pizza.

I cannot say enough good about this place. The outside was a little run-down looking, but the food was amazing. We enjoyed this Italian food so much and our waitress clearly has a big stake in this business - maybe an owner. She was so kind to us and fun as she offered boxes "for our midnight snack." She was precious topping off the perfection of this place. I'm sorry I was just in Lynchburg for the day because this would be my go-to kind of place if I was in the area.

The food was not good at all. The steak sub was god awful it tasted just like a steakum. And the bread was dripping grease. Mostly everything we got was awful except the child’s pizza.Dont waste your time or money since this place is expensive as well

My husband and I just had dinner at The Monte Carlo. The Veal Parmigiano was outstanding. The cannelloni was delicious. We have eaten in Italian restaurants in numerous states in the US. Monte Carlo is one of the best.

The pasta was not good. The pasta pictured was alfredo with chicken. Appeared to be microwaved. We sent it back. The "fatboy" was a little better, but the noodles had NO flavor. The cheese sticks were overdone, and I'm not even sure it was actually cheese in them. I was told they took the charge off for the pasta.. dont know because there was not an itemized bill. Still came to $50 for 2 people with a meal being taken off.
I wish we would have had fast food instead

Good family Italian restaurant. Friendly staff and enjoyable dinners. Veal is good. So are their calzones.
