Absolutely fabulous doesn’t begin to describe the delicious cookies, shortbread and to die for carmelized banana pudding. And Mrs Joy is so kind and fun to chat with. You have to go when you’re in Lynchburg❤️
I had some of Miss Joy's Scottish Shortbread sent to me... oh, my! I had to seriously restrain myself from eating it all in one sitting. I'm here on day 4 of my daily allowance of one Shortbread with my coffee. It's the perfect blend of just crispy enough, buttery enough, and vanilla-y enough to melt in your mouth. Absolutely worth the calories! The packing was simple, yet beautiful, and makes an amazing and thoughtful gift for any occasion!
I walked into her shop for the first time, hoping to grab a last minute birthday cake for a friend. She had sold out of all ready-made cakes, minus one she had put together for someone. That person walked out on her while she was making it, and it ended up being a blessing from the universe! The owner was incredibly hospitable and friendly— and her cakes are phenomenal! I’ve been in the shop a few other times and can attest that the cupcakes and macarons are also delish!
