I just moved in to college a day ago and it was my 17th birthday today. We had set up a reservation, but due to some confusion on our end, we showed up almost 1.5 hours late- and the store was closing. My friends and I had all picked out our favorite dresses and heels and felt quite disappointed that we wouldn’t be able to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of the restaurant. As we tried to figure out how or when we could reschedule to, the fact that it was my birthday came up....
I left my dining experience today feeling exhausted rather than refreshed. I took my two children out to the tearoom to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. Our server was not attentive at all- I had to keep waiting for her to walk by and flag her down for things. The owner did walk by while we waited for our food and engaged; that was sweet and appreciated. Her family was visiting the table next to us and they were all very loud and I found them quite a disturbance of the atmosphere....
