Euro style no tip policy means no server attentiveness or hustle (they get paid regardless of the quality of service). I was seated and no server came over for 20 minutes. Food is good, atmosphere too, but when the service lousy, why bother.

Brunch at RA is well done, perfectly cooked eggs for the Eggs Benedict, excellent Bloody Mary's, and friendly service. And when the weather's right, a pleasant terrace! Update - 5/4/2025. When our first choice for Sunday morning was full at 11 am, we very much enjoyed RA. The eggs on the eggs benedict were perfectly done, the cheese fritata was huge and delicious, and the restaurant was quiet and relaxed. Thanks!

Our waitress was great and very attentive to our needs. The food would have been great had it been hot. Food was not hot at all. Parts of it were cold. My nieces Fries were even cold. Nothing worse than cold FF

Enjoyed our meal & conversation with our college grandson. Food was good, but the steak was not tender! Husband enjoyed his burger. Loved the Barista Mud Pie.

Great food and service! One of the best burgers I've ever had and the portions were very generous. Our waitress Kelly was outstanding. The restaurant has a cool industrial vibe, my only complaint is that the temperature was too cold inside. Would definitely go back to RA next time I'm passing through Lynchburg. Highly recommend!

RA Bistro is a great spot. The shrimp & grits are absolutely amazing — full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere is nice, and the service is always friendly and attentive. Definitely a place worth visiting!

Without a doubt, one of the top 3 places to eat in Lynchburg! Server was friendly, courteous, professional, and attentive. The food was perfect. This will be a regular stop for us!
The cocktail i ordered was quite good it wasn't weak or watered down, definitely 5 star.
The food, on the other hand, was just ok. The burger was cooked perfectly but was very flavorless. No salt, pepper, or any other seasoning. The fries were hot and crispy, but some of them tasted freezer burnt. The spinach artichoke dip was ok but again didn't have any flavor, and the spinach was left whole, making the dip hard to eat.
Overall I'm not sure I would go back for food.

Very generous portions of food that was excellent. They add a service fee that covers tips, that's fine. Had lumberjack French toast, pork chops, poached eggs w/ salmon entries, etc. All at brunch .

Our server, Kelly, was great. Lovely personality and very helpful. The food was cooked perfectly. We had the fish and chips and hot honey chicken with Brussels. Everything was fresh. French fries were good and the sauces were flavorful. Enough food for leftovers too. 20% service fee added automatically so you’re not expected to tip. I normally would not like that but Kelly would have received a 20% tip anyways based on performance.

If I could give RA Bistro a 10 for the food and service, I would. The staff was very pleasant and sat us at a table out of the way to accommodate my service dog. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The food was delicious as we started with the calamari, which was flavourful and tender . My husband ordered a bowl of the stew (he devoured it), and as our main course, my husband had the jambalaya, and I had the mahai oscar with crab cake. Both were outstanding! I would highly recommend trying this place.
