I went to this college back when it was Randolph-Macon Woman's college. It took everything out of me not to transfer. I've never experienced racism more in my entire life, than at this "liberal" college. From an admissions counselor asking me to speak to a white Puerto Rican from the island, assuming we had a lot in common, even though I'm a brown Puerto Rican from NYC, three generations removed, and can't speak Spanish, to a professor arguing with me telling me I'm black, when most Latinos are mixed with natives and Europeans. This is just the administration, this doesn't include the countless racist encounters with my small minded, small town peers. The white kids hang out with the white kids, the blacks with the blacks and everyone else from other countries are grouped together, because among most of the whites there is still fear and intolerance. This place is far from woke and is under the guise of white liberal savior.
