I ordered the Chinese salad that was a special. It would have received 5 stars if there weren't full size edamame mixed in the salad. It is difficult to pick up a pod and eat the beans out during a business dinner. Would have been much more enjoyable if the beans were mixed in.
Always a staple for me in downtown Lynchburg. Delicious food and lovely views. Fried Pork Belly 10/10 stole the show 🔥
Our dinner at Skyline was very good. We were seated near a fire pit and it was warm and toasty; even though the temperatures were frigid. Our server was polite, but he didn't share any of the specials and after we had already ordered we overheard another server share them. It was disappointing as we would have likely ordered some of the specials. Overall, we had a good experience but nothing that was overall spectacular.
Everything was perfect! Food was fantastic, the salmon was cooked perfectly, even our 1 year old loved it!
Too many large very noisy tables. Food was okay. Service pretty good. Wines not up to par.
Ignored for first 15 minutes. Cold on the patio when we had asked for the heater fireplace next to us to be turned on. We were stared at by the staff up front but not helped until I asked again and it was another 10 minutes before we were greeted. The tables that came in after us were served first. It was the most uncomfortable we've been in a restaurant in a long time.
My server and the staff were all incredibly attentive, kind and helpful. The ambiance was beautiful on a quiet Thursday evening. I ordered the seared tuna appetizer and mahi mahi as an entree. The food was enjoyable, but I would not count it out of this world. For the price it was not bad! I would come back
My family of 10 dined here tonight for my birthday celebration study 4 pm 🎂 🎈 and we were fortunate to have Sean as our server. He was the best server...so patient, kind and so attentive to details. Iwe will be sure to ask for him next visit. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The pecan crusted salmon and fish snd chips meals were especially good! The dining atmosphere as well as the outdoor views of the downtown area were lovely at night. We are looking forward to returning again soon!

The fine-dining expectations set by the restaurant did not match the experience. Patrons in sweatsuits shouting while visibly intoxicated at the bar, along with unsupervised children knocking chairs over and running around playing tag, made it difficult to enjoy our birthday dinner. This was far from the environment I anticipated when booking a reservation based on the fine-dining image presented.
Excellent food and great service. The burger is huge with plenty of fries. The rib eye and fish and chips were also great. It would be nice to enjoy the view through clean windows. The noise level was low enough to talk at 5pm but increased a lot by 6pm. Outside seating is preferred if it's warm enough.

Ate here for an anniversary celebration. We both had the almond crusted salmon. It was perhaps the best salmon we've ever had. Just the right amount of crunch and perfectly done salmon. Nice array of drinks and wine options. A bit noisy if you're looking for a quieter dinner (which we were - they sat us in the corner in perhaps the quieter part of the restaurant). The only drawback - and it's a mild one - is that if someone has a lot of food allergies, there aren't a lot of options. No dairy-free/gluten-free dessert options. Would definitely visit again though.
Not memorable, just ok! Cocktails good! Wasn't good value , price/ food not in line at all!
My fiancé and I had a great experience! Yummy food and drinks and a beautiful restaurant! Our server was amazing!
Reasonably priced and a good place for a casual date night. Making reservations is advised on a weekend. I would definitely go back, service was great and they had an extensive drink, wine, and beer selection, even though I didn't partake in any drinks on this visit there were a lot of options. Food was above average and came out fairly quickly from the time we ordered. The server was great, and gave the right amount of attention without being annoying. I wish I could remember her name, but she did a really great job.
Lovely time! We hadn't planned to stay overnight in Lynchburg but traveled west from the Richmond area to enjoy the fall leaves. We stayed at the Craddock Terry Hotel (a converted former shoe factory now owned by Marriott) and planned to have dinner there on their premises at Shoemakers. We did a little shopping and got talked into Skyline. It was great—we sat at their fire pit and had drinks and an appetizer before dinner. Our dinners were tasty (trout for me and hubs had a seafood pasta entree). If I could change anything it would be to have the entrees a bit warmer—they were pretty lukewarm. That's my only criticism. The hotel was hoppin' with several weddings.
