The food I got was very delicious my date didn't really enjoy their meal. Service was excellent. My date was not very fund of the spider webs hanging on the walls. I booked for the outdoor experience but unfortunately we couldn't sit outside on the roof top. I would give it a second chance.

Thank heavens the restaurant web site itself tells you that there is a free parking lot behind the hotel. Otherwise, the search for parking would probably be fruitless. The restaurant is located on the top floor of the Virginia Hotel. You need to take hotel elevators to reach it, but there are no signs indicating this and the elevators operate "up" on room key cards. I thankfully got in the elevator with some hotel guests so I was able to request that they, in addition to selecting their floor for their room, select the Skyline Restaurant as well. I was seated immediately once I spotted and approached the "host station" in the corner of the rather large bar. This is a bit unusual as at first it appears to be a server ordering station that must be kept clear. The view of Lynchburg is modest at best. The menu has a few choices. I stayed with pork which was done nicely. The wine list is obviously curated and impressive; also you can order most wines in several size pours or by the bottle. I was going to order a dessert, but the check was presented, un-asked-for, and my personal rule is I order nothing further in that case.

I have visited Skyline numerous times and have enjoyed my experience each time! Last night, I was celebrating my birthday, and we were greeted by their friendly staff. Our server was exceptionally pleasant as well. I loved trying their new seafood options on the menu. The dessert was fantastic, and I am counting down the days until I can return again. The ambiance, staff, service, and restrooms were all splendid.

The worst service I have ever experienced. We Saturday for the downtown fireworks. They were not busy. Took 15 mins to greet our table plus many other service issues. We have dined several times at the William & Henry and have always loved the experience. We unfortunately did not receive the same experience at Skyline.

I ordered the Salem with corn and it was so spicy I could not eat it. It actually made my lips numb.

Our food and service was excellent. The restaurant decor is nothing special and the tables are too small. The noise level is way too much. It was impossible to have conversation.

This is our favorite restaurant by far in Lynchburg. The oyster appetizers is ridiculous! We travel a ton and haven't had better oysters anywhere!

My husband and I decided to venture out for restaurant week. We were both very pleased with the food, service and atmosphere!! We will be back for sure !!

Ordered the Brie-very good. Hamburgers just didn't seem to be the same as the last time we were there in October. Meat wasn't seasoned and seemed dry. Will give it another try and see if it was just a bad night. Seems to have been prepare like a smash burger-I don't like smash-burgers. Service was excellent..

Limited vegetarian options but ones we chose were good. Somewhat limited menu overall. More of a bar. The mocktail was watered down. Not good. Difficulty using cash.

We waited 30 minutes before anyone took our drink/food order. Service was lackluster at best. Food is so good, and we usually have a great experience here. The service that night just wasn't hitting. The manager on duty 5/25 never bothered to speak to us or apologize for our experience either. We're taking Skyline off the rotation for a bit.

Fantastic food and a great time. A nice place to go fancy but laid back. I'd go back again for sure.

Food was amazing. We actually came here 2 nights in a row. Mahi Mahi was great, crab cakes, the chicken, and the apple pie. The patio was very nice. It was a great 2 nights and experience.

For the cost the of the meal the food quality was not better than what you might get at a Chilis. Our server was rushing to get us to pay the bill and leave. She hardly checked on us throughout the meal. The vegetarian menu had no explicitly vegan options and our waitress appeared annoyed when we inquired if any could be altered to be vegan. To be honest, I would not recommend this place.

Lovely evening for rooftop dining. Very good strip steak, not excellent. Cooked correctly. Roasted potatoes were delicious as was the sauce. Prompt and cordial service. Will definitely return.
