Visiting first time there. Family Style. Food was delicious, our server Brook was awesome. Family owned and operated. They were great. I will be back.

My visit was on Thanksgiving day.My main issue was the seating,The tables weren't normal dining tables. Instead, they seemed to be card tables.I was cursed by sitting with a large left-hand person on one side on me & a right-hand person on the other. It's like I had maneuver my eating skills.Just seemed like everyone was crammed in there.

What a cute family restaurant. Food was decent and huge portions. Our dinner was more than we could eat and included dessert.

Delicious buffet meal of three entrées, five sides, biscuits, beverage, and two deserts, great ambiance, great service and help with planning for our 45th High School Reunion. The Spring House staff was amazing. If there was a detail we needed assistance with, they worked patiently to provide the accommodations. The guest loved having the option of being inside with the music for dancing or on the deck for conversation. No regrets having Spring House host our reunion. Thank you, Rick, Sheila, and staff for a great evening.

Delicious food, beautiful accommodations, great service before, during, and after the event--Simply said, Spring House Dining was an excellent choice for our 45th reunion. Rick and Sheila, the owners, worked so well with us in the planning stages and making sure we were satisfied with the accommodations. The evening before the event, we realized our flash drive for our video wasn't compatible with their equipment. Long story, shortened, we made an adjustment; and Dan, the bartender, and Brooke and Jane, the waitress, worked diligently in the time just before the event to make sure our videos showed beautifully. We were so thankful because a lot of work had gone into creating the videos, and they played an important part in the plans for the evening. The lighting in the dining room helped create a beautiful ambiance along with decoration we added. Our guests really enjoyed the option of being inside with the music and dancing or enjoying the beautiful evening on the lighted deck. Without a doubt, we all enjoyed the buffet and no one left hungry. My favorite entrées were the well-seasoned catfish bites and the tender, sliced roast beef. The oven-fried chicken was good, too. All of the sides were delicious, too. Yes, I ate some of everything, and it was all good. These aren't just my comments, but also of a number of the guests. Spring House, you out did yourself, and the Reunion Committee graciously thanks you.

We were on our way to Roanoke, Virginia from our home in Smithfield, Virginia when we stopped at this family style restaurant. It is located on a pretty pond on Route 460 just outside of Lynchburg. This was not our first visit and will not be our last. It was just as good this time as the first time. The waitress was friendly and seated us by a window. She explained that my husband and I could select 2 entries and up to 5 sides and get tea and a dessert. There were lots of choices for all. We listened to nice relaxing music but did not have to wait long as she brought us warm homemade biscuits and apple butter. Wow! The best biscuits I have ever had! I was looking forward to the rest coming! Next she brought in a lazy Susan with more delights! We selected fried shrimp, baby back ribs, string beans, cinimmom apples, sweet potato casserole, potato salad, corn pudding with warm peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Okay let's break this down... the shrimp was lightly fried so the flavor was there...5 stars. Baby back ribs very tender and flavor...5 stars. All vegetables...5 stars too. Dessert just right, warm and flavor I would call peachy keen...topped the meal off with 5 stars! Tea was good flavor too. Now the beauty of this delicious meal was it kept coming as she asked if we wanted more of any of the items AND we could take the left overs! As IF there were any! The manager came to each table to check on things and along with the waitress they made the experience great. They told us about other events there to include an Elvis Pressley event/buffet and an up coming Elvis sock hop. What fun! They hold events there and with lots of room upstairs and down for large crowds such as weddings, business meetings etc. It was a WONDERFUL experience, quick service and great food. I only wish they were closer to Smithfield as I would be a regular. In our eyes (and we eat out alot and have traveled the lower 48 states eating our way across the U.S.) they have earned a FIVE STAR PLUS REVIEW! Lucky for us we have family and friends in Roanoke so we can stop here again! We highly recommend this home style restaurant opened 4 days. Check the hours. A down home comfortable but professional experience with food to match... Worth the stop! Our compliments to a well run establishment and to the chef! Keep up the good work...you have earned it!

Upon visiting Lynchburg we stopped in for dinner, and were seated within minutes! Ordered the flounder and the fried chicken and all the sides, we couldn't believe how good it was! It was like the comfort of a southern home cooked meal without having to do the dishes! Everything was divine! Service was quick and thorough, We will definitely be back! In conversation we compared it to the Apple Barn restaurant in Pigeon Forge TN and without a doubt all agreed this was BETTER! Job well done!

A little dated. Would benefit from renovations to the inside of the building and the parking lot. Beautiful patio in the back though. Food was decent.
