Great pizza and great service. Always consistent. Update 2024. Giovanni's unfortuantely has closed.

We had a nice time on Sunday night. Food came out quick and hot. Not the most flavorful Italian food I have had but was not bad (seems like they are playing it safe as far a spices and seasoning goes). Prices were very good for the portions we received. Our waitress was also very friendly and attentive. Would definitely go again.

Ordered 4 Steak and Cheese with a side of fries. Waited over an hour for my food that was supposed to be ready in 25 minutes. No fries! Little to no steak on the sub! Mainly bread. They forgot to put one of the subs on the ticket so I think the cook made 4 Subs with the meat from the 3. The only good thing I can say is the sub roll was nice and fresh. I will never go back. The owner Amanda was in the back trying to help and all u hear was the cook saying “No, Amanda!” I’m all about supporting Local, but service needs to be good!

Stopped by on our way back from Charlottesville. We were super hungry and wanted something quick on our way. My wife called and ordered a pizza with a request to make it early if possible. Thanks to the staff, they did accommodate our request. The pizza was definitely good just like the service . Will be back again.

This is one of the better Italian restaurants in the area. Their food is fresh, delicious and like homemade. There only open three days a week as the new ownership appears to still be getting their feel for the business. Service is very accommodating but still having some growing pains with large groups. The place is clean and has been freshend up. Plenty of parking available.

I went on their website ordered two pizzas when I get there the bill was much higher I told them the price on the website was lower and they should honor that the girl behind the counter got sassy and blamed it on Google Google wouldn't change their price that's a big lie they control their own website not Google so be careful these people will gouge you the old bait and switch program

Never again. Nearly an hour for a side salad. Then main course was basically noodles and water.

Came in for an early dinner and was seated right away. They have a very varied menu and I settled on chicken boscaiola with penne pasta which I had never had before. It took awhile to arrive which I always consider a good thing. Usually means it is made fresh. It was excellent. Even saved some for my wife to try and she agreed. I'll be back to try other dishes and feel confident that they will be great too.

If you are wanting to eat in a timely matter or eat the same time as your company DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!!. Went here for dinner and we order our meals at the same time. Mine came out and my wife's didn't. After 10 minutes I asked how much longer for hers. The waiter went to check and returned to say hers had been completely looked over and they would start on it then. 45 minutes later and me getting rude with the later her meal came out. (It was creamy chicken parm). So needles to say her meal was an hour later after mine. When it came to the plate the waiter apologized again and said they would comp her meal. When we finished eating and paid the bill we realized they only discounted it by $3.00. We won't go back again.

We have had carry out from Giovanna's multiple times and have always enjoyed the food itself. Tonight's carry out experience was a disaster. We called in the order while heading home from the airport, 35 min out from the restaurant. The timing appeared to be perfect as they said the order would be ready in 20 min. When we arrive to pick up the order, there are at least 8 other people waiting. I give my name to the poor person working the register, who is obviously flustered. After providing my credit card to pay for the order, it becomes apparent that the order was never put in and I'm informed that it will be 25 minutes before the food is ready. I inform the poor girl working the register that I do not want to wait 25 minutes for food that I called in 35 minutes ago and request a refund on the card. She has to find someone from the back to see if a refund is possible, then says the food will be right out. I waited for an additional 10 minutes before someone came out to refund my credit card and I left without food. It was evident from the other restlessly waiting patrons that they were also experiencing similar disorganization and wait times. I do feel bad for the girl working the register as she was obviously under-supported in her present work environment. To add to the experience, no one apologized for the mistake.

We are staying at the Madison Vines Campground and decided to give this restaurant a try. Service was great, our server was funny and very attentive even though she was the only server. The onion rings were awesome! The side salad was fresh, cold and crisp! Our entrees (eggplant parmigiana and meat ravioli) weregood. The portion for the eggplant was huge but there were only five raviolis. All tasted good though. The server actually made our dining experience great. We’ll be back!?

We got the large Steak Stromboli with tomatoes and green pepper added in, it was phenomenal. Definitely put on some comfy pants before you dig in because it is massive and easy to eat in front of the TV.
