After a half day drive down Skyline Drive - I needed some lunch on the way home. As I was passing through Madison, VA on U.S. 29 - I noted Piedmont Deli - which I've seen for years - but never visited. So in to Piedmont I went...I ordered their version with an Italian Sub - with mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, and banana peppers - to go. Sub was made to order. They wrap up the sub on a paper plate with a small bag of chips and a dill pickle spear.The sub was really good - hit the spot. I am more of the crusty style sub rolls fan - but Piedmont used a soft sub roll - which actually worked out quite well.Great sub, I would eat here again. There are 3-4 tables to eat in. As I recall, I did not see any restrooms for customers to utilize - so if that is indeed the case - be aware of that.Service was good.Paid with a credit card.#PiedmontDeli

Piedmont deli is the best deli Madison has to offer, and has been for many years. Call ahead if you're in a hurry during lunch hours because they will be busy. Best lunch in town.

Came in to buy a pound of meat and was turned away. If yall don't want my money that's ok. I'll get my deli meats from Yoders from now on.

Driven by it hundreds of times and finally stopped. Glad I did. Ordered a sandwich. "Mike's Masterpiece ", grilled chicken breast, bacon cheddar, LTO, honey mustard on a warm kaiser roll. Excellent. Comes with a small bag of chips and pickle wedge. I'll be back to try some of the other enticing sandwiches.

The food is always fresh and delicious! It's been my favorite place to grab a sub since I was a kid and now my kids love it too! Our favorites are The Torpedo, The Steak & Cheese, and the m.t.o. turkey is delicious any way you order it.

One of the best steak and cheese sub-sandwiches ever! Came with chips-great price. Small family-owned deli-a hidden gem. Right off of Rt. 29 a little north of Madison, Virginia. Recommend it.?
