Amazing food from the Texas Valle, delicious broth soup, tacos, fresh homemade quacamole made for us, a churro with hibiscus sauce homemade !!! lovely stories of food from Mercedes Texas, absolutely authentic from someone who lives in San Benito decades ago!

Paid this place a visit for lunch after hiking Old Rag Mountain. I was pleasantly greeted when I walked in and immediately knew that this was going to be a good experience. The lady, who I presume is the owner, told me her recommendations, and I settled on the shrimp quesadillas with an avocado salsa. The food was prepared very quickly and was very fresh and delicious. They offered to open the windows if I wanted to eat inside so I could hear the music, but I decided to eat outside at the picnic table since it was such a nice day. I really enjoyed the food and the customer service that I received at this establishment. Glad I stopped in!

We first experienced this great little place when their food truck was at a local brewery. The owner is a USAF vet and puts down excellent and authentic Mexican fare. Service is friendly and personal. Ambiance is very casual. They have limited seating and much of their business is take out. U

My husband and I love the fresh, authentic Mexican food of Salsa Street. The owners and operators are always kind and friendly.
We stopped here for lunch and the food was delicious. The staff were easily able to point out vegan options, and were quick to make a substitution for the rice (which is not vegan since made with chicken stock). The plantain fajita mix used in tacos, bowls and burritos is flavorful and filling. We ate here for lunch on two consecutive days and were perfectly satisfied. A must visit for vegans visiting Madison.
