Everything looked delicious. The person who waited on me really took the time to explain anything I asked about and their willingness to fulfill any specific requests.

I used restraint and only walked out with a canolli. The canolli shell was delicious. The consistency of the filling wasn't great and did not have much flavor. This would not stop me from trying something else at another time though.

I hardly know what to say except that Victoria and her team completely knocked our cakes out of the park. We ordered a whole set for my husband's 60th birthday and each one was more detailed and beautiful than the next and the execution is simply incredible. We tasted them and are blown away -- they are delicious (and beautiful). It was difficult to cut into any since they are pure works of art!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I was deeply disappointed with their customer service. With my wedding approaching, I ordered a tasting box from them and went to pick it up. During my visit, I exchanged a few pleasantries with the owner and left. My fiancé and I enjoyed the cake and decided to hire them for our wedding.

The next day, I called to speak with the owner to request a quote and discuss the cake details. However, the owner was out on a delivery, so I left a message. No one ever called me back. Over the next few days, I repeatedly called, leaving multiple messages with whoever answered the phone, but I still didn’t receive a response.

By the time I made my fourth or fifth attempt, the person who answered the phone was extremely rude and dismissive. If you’re a bride looking for a wedding cake, do not hire them. They are unprofessional, unresponsive, and clearly do not value new customers.

I have since hired a different bakery, and I couldn’t be happier. The entire process—cake tasting, discussing pricing, and signing the contract—took just two days to finalize.

I would like to add that this occurred about three weeks ago, and I have been waiting for a callback since then. I refrained from writing this review earlier because I wanted to give them an opportunity to address the issue. However, I believe an ample amount of time has passed, and there is no excuse for their rudeness. It seems to me that they are not interested in gaining new business, so I feel compelled to warn others: please do not rely on a business that does not value your time and is likely to flake on you, especially on your special day.

I left them a stellar review a few years ago, but this is a 'strong' update. I buy a dozen mixed donuts every year from them, and it seems like each year since 2020, the quality has dropped. I bought another dozen for almost $65 & what a complete waste of money. These are always for my wife's birthday(at her request). Unfortunately, today, the cupcakes were horrible compared to a few years ago, and for what they are charging per cupcake, absolutely not! It was like the cake part itself was made a few days ago, they never sold so they scraped the icing off and re-iced them two days ago, and I bought them today. The top ring was hard on 6 of them and more of the cake stuck to the wrapper than not when peeled off. Wow! What a disappointment, and we for certain will be patronizing another shop from here on out.

I was told by Victoria the owner the wedding cake tasting sample costs $45.00. I was charged $60.00. Not happy with the service.

My wife insisted we order our wedding cake from here after she got her first wedding cake from here a decade earlier. Everyone at the wedding raved about the cake. Despite being a big cake lover, my wife and I were too busy to have more than a bite of the cake at the wedding. I mentioned it to the owner afterwards while mentioning how the guests loved the cake and she offered to make us cupcakes in the same flavor afterwards. It was so kind and genuinely human.

The cupcakes I purchased yesterday are phenomenal!!!!! The chocolate and icing are so rich and yummy!!!!! When I need a hit if high class chocolate cakes or cupcakes, I’ll be back!!!!!!

Have gotten many cakes from here and have not been disappointed. We got our daughters 3rd birthday cake here and it was amazing. It was a Barbie cake and she did it all in buttercream instead of fondant, which was perfect and I was happy with the colors that she had suggested. I asked for some strawberry icing inside. She did a marble cake. And we were able to pour the doll out and she had it wrapped at the bottom and when you take the wrapping off the doll had a little too too, so my daughter was able to play with this doll after it was perfect Even after having the cake for three days, it was still very moist and good. I contacted her on Wednesday for a cake to pick up on Saturday and was really impressed with how quickly she was able to do it. It was a pricey cake, but it was very good.

First time around I ask for a strawberry cake instead I got a vanilla cake with strawberries filling which turned out to be very disappointing. But still wanted to give a second chance. BIG MISTAKE. I specifically ask for the edge of the cake to be gold and it’s clearly brown. The face of the bull looks nothing like the picture I requested for. The bull looks as if she made it last minute and the eyes are not symmetrical at all. My family and I hate fondant and never once did she reach out saying she was going to change the design. I told her if she wanted me to email her the picture. All she said was “no that’s fine I got it” so idk why the heck she messed up so bad! If I’m going to spend a good amount of money then I would hope to receive what I requested for. All ask was for image 1 to be rectangular w/ gold edges instead I got image 2.

Placed a last minute same day dairy free custom cake order and they did not disappoint! They were very helpful and customer service couldn’t have been better. They even meet the birthday boy and made him smile. Definitely recommended for anyone in the area especially if you have someone with dietary restrictions. ? ❤️❤️❤️

My husband and I have family in the VA area, and we were thrilled to celebrate our recent marriage with all of them in the summer of 2023! Cakes by Happy Eatery did an outstanding job making detectible spreads of various pastries and a stunning, 3-tier cake that was baked and decorated to perfection! Everything came well packaged and Victoria and Emily placed and presented everything in a picturesque display! We were thrilled with the incredibly friendly and generous service!
