We order from here all the time for our staff. Service is excellent, the staff is very friendly, and the food is amazing!
How does a server lose a debit card? Not only that, they’re rude about the whole ordeal too.
I went to this restaurant with my son and daughter-in-law, and unfortunately, the food was a major letdown. The crab cakes were bland and lacked any real flavor. My son ordered the fish and chips, which were greasy and appeared to have been cooked in old oil—the portion was very small. I had a fried oyster sandwich that was especially underwhelming. There were only three small oysters buried in a thick large bun, making it more bread than seafood. The sandwich was terrible!
Overall, the portions were tiny, the food quality was poor, and it didn’t feel like a place focused on serving good food. It seems more like a bar than a proper restaurant. If you’re looking for a satisfying meal, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere. The service was even worse, our food took so long and never once did they come to check on us, there are so many better places in the area. Very sad I was hoping this place would have been good.
Do not waste your money!!

Worst dining experience of my life — avoid at all costs
I genuinely wish I could rate this restaurant zero stars. What should have been a normal night out turned into an infuriating, stressful, and completely unacceptable ordeal.
Our waitress, Ashley, LOST my debit card during our visit. Let me repeat that — she lost it. No real apology, just a confused, half-hearted attempt to find it. The staff initially assured me that they would cover the bill due to their mistake, which seemed like the bare minimum.
But then came the manager — hands down the most rude, dismissive, and unprofessional person I’ve ever encountered in hospitality. Not only did they backtrack on the offer to comp the meal, they expected me to stay pay the bill after I already cancelled my card that THEY lost, showing zero concern or accountability for what happened.
To top it all off? The staff, including Ashley, were laughing about it. Yes, laughing. As if losing a guest’s debit card and reneging on their promise was all just entertainment. I felt humiliated, disrespected, and completely disregarded.
There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of treatment. Losing a customer’s personal property is bad enough. Refusing to take responsibility and mocking them on top of it? Unforgivable.
Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away. There are plenty of restaurants that serve good food and understand the meaning of basic decency. This place is not one of them.
Not to mention, the food was VERY mediocre and I’ll avoid ordering the crab cake sandwich if I ever accidentally step into this place.
Now I am out my debit card until my bank sends a new one. Thanks CJ Finz, I will never be coming back and I will spread the word around. Treat your customers with some respect.
Horrible experience, completely unprofessional. Our experience at CJ Finz Raw Bar & Grille was absolutely unacceptable. We went for a family meal with our 4-year-old daughter, and what should’ve been a simple night out turned into over an hour of stress, confusion, and complete disrespect.
After a long wait for slow service, our waitress Ashley (short hair) lost our debit card after taking it to run the bill. The entire staff, including us, searched for over an hour with no success — and the manager was zero help. Completely disengaged, did nothing to remedy the situation, and offered no leadership.
To make it worse, they initially offered to comp the meal — which seemed like the least they could do — but later reversed that offer once the card was finally found in a random drawer. No explanation, no apology, just attitude.
We missed our afternoon plans, were extremely stressed, and on top of it all, the staff laughed in our faces during the ordeal. As a military family relying on that USAA card to pay our bills, this situation was especially upsetting.
We didn’t expect a free meal — we expected basic professionalism, accountability, and respect. Instead, we got the complete opposite. We will never return and strongly urge others to avoid this place.
Not the best place to eat, I ordered the lime cilantro grouper with broccolini and jasmine rice, fish was chewy and tasteless most likely a fast microwave defrost, broccolini the same couldn’t cut it with a knife, rice was ok, no taste or sign of lime or cilantro, husband got the burger, was missing the tobacco onions, it was overdone and the bacon was burned, spend your money elsewhere for food, too pricey for what they offer.
This is the second time I have eaten here and it definitely won’t be my last. Every item I have ever tried was sooo tasty! Was able to try their lobster Mac and cheese this time and I just could not stop eating it. I also took advantage of their specials, on Mondays it is $1 oysters from 5-10pm; it was very fresh, I basically had to get a second helping. Their crab cakes were also delicious.
Everyone was so welcoming, the atmosphere was nice and clean. My only complaint would be the outdoor smoking but that was an easy remedy (just eat inside). Can’t wait to try more of their food items!

For a raw bar, the oysters were very underwhelming. They were small, extremely gritty, shucked poorly (half were literally scrambled), and served on top of a few large chunks of ice. Old bay wings were okay - fried slightly too long and tossed with a little too much seasoning. Fried pickles were okay. Service was good and there was a good vibe, it's just not a top notch raw bar.

Ordered at restaurant instead of online because I could not make substitutions to the sides. Still gave me my order wrong. I could have ordered it online if I wanted something different & saved time instead of waisting time. The tacos didn’t have enough flavor. The lobster MacNCheese was good.

My fiancé and I wanted to try this place out for my birthday earlier this year and we were very disappointed, we placed the order for to go and waited quite a bit for our food. I had ordered the tuna poke bowl and it tasted very nasty the seaweed salad tasted legit like nail polish remover and the tuna tasted okay, the rice was the only good part, my partner had order the shrimp tacos and when we opened the container we saw 2 sad little tacos with 2 pieces of shrimp and very little lettuce, and the sauces that came with it was mediocre, with my experience and how the food tasted I would never eat here again.

Pretty solid. Clams were fresh, crab cakes delish. Beer selection is very good and well curated.

First time patron and will definitely be back. Good service and ample food options. Small, but nice outdoor seating space with sun shades. Outdoor seating has good access for strollers or walkers. Busy and loud train traffic, intermittent, not terrible. Crab Dip appetizer is very good but light on the crab, which is only crumbles on the top. Homemade chips are good but many clumped together so not quite crispy enough. Chili Lime Shrimp Tacos (2) and Wedge Salad with Steak Tips were absolutely delicious and generous portions. Would be nice if the tacos came with a side though. Drinks are reasonably priced and good. Definitely worth a try if you haven't been there!

Some of the food options are absolutely incredible! Wasn't a big fan of the fried pickles; I've had better fried pickles else where. The Ragoon was delicious, but so hot that my dad burnt his finger? The crab cake sandwich I had was great! The location of the restaurant is perfect with a view of the public stage just across the street. The decorations inside are very interesting and fun to look at. I found the place to be a little dark and cramped, but if you're closer to the front of the restaurant, it's brighter. I would definitely go here again and try some other items on the menu.
