We had daughter and I went here for lunch and had a great time. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The salad bar and food options were extensive, fitting every taste bud and craving we had.The food we had was delicious, with the fried chicken being the highlight I think. We loved it and look forward to going back soon.

Small straight to the point buffet. I have to drive 45 minutes to get there but it's worth it. The food is hot and service with a smile.

We travel from Alexandria, Va. To dine at the Great American Buffet at least twice a week!! The food is not only great but they have a large variety to choose from and the desserts are awesome! You are welcome here by the staff and soon you will feel like family!! The Great American Buffet has a large number of regulars and if you dine here, you will soon be a regular as well. The staff are super, the food is great, desserts are awesome, but the cost is very reasonable compared to other restaurants or fast food..Come on in..

I came here yesterday to pick up carryout, I asked the employee working behind the counter for a dozen rolls. She was in the middle of cleaning, and did not change her gloves before handling and boxing up my rolls. She was picking up my rolls with her dirty gloved hand. When I asked her to please change her gloves, she rolled her eyes and aggressively started speaking to me in Spanish, knowing that that I didn’t understand. It was the employee that was working in the dessert/bakery area around 7:45p on 3/19/24. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands, it looked like a third world country in there. All the toilets were running water, it was very dirty, and smelly in there. I will not return, I hope they upgrade because right now the third world country is looking better.

I don't often go to buffets, but this is my second time coming to this establishment this week thanks to how close Great American Buffet is to my office. Now take this review with a grain of salt, because it is for a buffet - not some fancier sit down restaurant. Obviously the quality of individual items won't (in most cases) be as high as that of a restaurant where you order individually. Anyways...Serving classic American cuisine, Great American Buffet offers a variety of tried and tested meat staples - be that fried chicken, pot roast beef, or BBQ ribs - as well as a good selection of side dishes to go with them. There are a few foreign influenced dishes present - quesadillas, broccoli stir fry, and teriyaki chicken come to mind - showcasing how our country adopts the good things from abroad. Like most buffets around, Great American Buffet has a salad bar, a desert selection, and an ice cream machine. I personally enjoyed the sweet potato pie - y'all should try some.Overall? When factoring the price (~$16 for lunch after tip and tax) and the surprisingly decent quality and spread of food, I'm going to give it a 5 star rating. Sure, the service could've been better and the atmosphere felt a bit on the older / rustic side, but for what its worth this is a solid buffet.
This is probably one of the best all you can eat buffets I have been to. I have been their customer for close to 20 years and I always leave satisfied with the quality of the food, cleanliness of the restaurant and the courteous nature of their
