Why auto gratuity of 18%? Went at 9pm with myself and three others one of which was a kid. Three normal meals and a kids meal ordered. Service was kinda slow but an ok experience. Had a coupon with rewards for a free $7.99 kids meal but noticed when I got receipt a gratuity of 18% $10.04 I neither was told about, selected or asked for was on receipt because I proceeded to leave a cash tip thinking it wasn’t done. Why is this practice being done for a normal party of four?

The staff was polite and attentive. I believe this must be the blueprint for all of the IHops . I had never been to this one located in the Manassas Mall. The service started out slow but improved. which led me to believe that the waiter was new. The food was hot and cooked just right. The restaurant was very clean. I was impressed with the value of the food.

Don’t go after 2 pm in a Sunday. Dirty floor and bathroom .
Ive been here lots of times, I’ve had bad service before but also outstanding service, I must compliment server Micheal, he has an excellent attitude and has a special factor in him, he goes out of his way for his guests and always finds a way to lift me up when I’m not having a great day. Definitely deserves a raise. Need more servers like him here for sure.

Glad they went back to open 24hrs. We go usually for a late night dinner or after hours. We usually get seated very quickly and not many people. Our orders can be a little complicated but seem to always get what we ordered quickly. Typically walk out happy with our food and servic.

Tried contacting restaurant at 1130pm (it's 24/7), and no answers. Was incorrectly charged on debit card. Two charges, and both do not add up to correct billing. Will attempt to make contact again. Will edit response if warranted.
