Excellent sushi- the best or one of the best places I've tried! Our favorite rolls are the Funky Roll, Candy Cane Roll, and Pacific Roll. They are so delicious!Your order also comes with complimentary soup and salad. These are also yummy- especially the salad!The staff is nice. The ambiance is nice. It was quiet both times we went- not much people.The food does take awhile to get to your table. Expect 30 minutes to an hour or so. But it is worth the wait!

This is our favorite Japanese Steakhouse. My father and I regularly dine here usually one or 2 times a month. The chefs are amazing and the staff is incredible. We always feel welcome and it makes us happy to come back again and again. Recommend the hibachi Filet, chicken and shrimp with a mushroom appetizer. The hot sake is good also :-)

Same waitstaff for years. Clean, with fresh, high quality ingredients. If you go alone you order from the menu and sit at regular tables. The hibachi tables seat around 8 people so you sit with other parties. You may have to wait for other people to arrive before the chef starts cooking on a grill in the table. The food is delicious and we always have lots of leftovers.

We came here for my sons birthday and had a great dinner! Service was phenomenal! Super attentive and didn't have to ask for anything. Our chef was so friendly and cooked our food to perfection. Chicken was tender and juicy, everything was delicious. We will definitely be back! Beats the "other" hibachi in the area who barely gives you any food. At Sumo's the portions are generous and I appreciate that they don't charge you to sing happy birthday/offer complementary cheesecake. So nice!
My son, who has celiac disease which requires a gluten free diet, visited Sumo Restaurant in Manassas with a group of friends recently. Unfortunately, all he was offered to eat was a bowl of white rice. It was a very bad experience for him. We have eaten at many Sushi/Japanese restaurants in the past that have had wonderful gluten free substitions available. There was no accommodation that night to his diet or special needs.While restaurants are not required to cater to special diets or needs, it would be helpful to post this on your website or in large print outside your restaurant. While we will ask at the front door in the future, we will most likely take our special dining experience somewhere else.Dietary restrictions: Does not offer special dietary options

SUMO IS MY FAVORITE HIBACHI STEAK HOUSE AND FAVORITE RESTAURANT OF ALL TIME! The food is phenomenal, the service is wonderful, and the atmosphere is perfect. I love everything about Sumo. Every time I travel home I have to go to Sumo, and every time they hit the spot. Sumo will always hold such a special place in my family's hearts and will continue to do so.

This is one of the best Japanese steak houses in Northern Virginia. I go here a lot and I must say... "Wow!" Great menu, drinks, and so much food. Large, fresh red steaks, nice size lobster tails, shrimp, and scallops and chicken is just as good. Great service by two nice ladies. Great selection of sushi and don’t forget to order California rolls. I have been into many nice Japanese restaurants andthis is definitely one of the best we've eaten at. I'm looking forward to returning.

My family of four had hibachi at Sumo last night. I had the shrimp, my kids shared the shrimp and my husband had the shrimp, scallops and steak. We loved the food in comparison to other hibachi places. I will definitely be back.
