Gonna be real, I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this place. Maybe they didn't realize that it was a virtual kitchen operating out of a Denny's, but as a grilled cheese and melt super fan, their offerings are the best you can find in Manassas. They don't skimp on the cheese or bread like some restaurants do for the price point. I can't tell you how many times I've ordered a $9 sandwich somewhere and get a glorified American cheese on white bread that I could make at home.Not at Meltdown though (and Denny's in general). Sure, the basic grilled cheese they offer could easily be made at home if you pick up a sour dough loaf and all the three different cheeses, but that's why it's the cheapest sandwich on their menu. Because of this, $7.50 is completely reasonable for a no-nonsense, well-made grilled cheese. The more signature melts also great and worth the price.My only complaint is I wish they added a few more menu items, especially ones that are offered at the physical location they operate out of. Namely, a patty melt and the fried cheese melt.Overall, if you're craving a cheesy sandwich, you can't go wrong with this location.

One item, no substitutes, for Veterans Day. This is NOT the pick your slam advertised through the VA. And no substitutions allowed? That’s just unAmerican. No welcome to Dennys, no thank you for your service. Management in this location clearly has no appreciation for the idea of celebrating veterans today. Food was okay, as expected in a Dennys. And what happened to the music? Even the playlist has tanked.

I drove by this Denny's seeing that they where open so I hoped to make a takeout order. I had a great experience in the past so I was disappointed that I was not able to get through in 15 mins. I drove by it to go to the atm and hoping to place my order but when I finally got through after waiting I asked the manager on duty if it was to late for carryout she said we where busy you coming in? I took the manager as having an attitude with me when I was just inquiring due it being after 10pm and they where not answering. The impression I got was I was an inconvenience and wasting time so I declined and will not deal with this particular manager and sadly maybe this establishment anymore.
