What a great experience, loved the food, we had the trio plate with one of the vegan options, the beef tips and the tuna and everything was delicious. Highly recommend making time to stop by

A hidden gem in Manassas!
I had an amazing experience at Vera’s Kitchen. The flavors of the Ethiopian food were absolutely incredible – the injera was perfectly soft and spongy, fresh, and paired beautifully with the different dishes and dips. Everything was thoughtfully prepared with care and attention to detail.
The atmosphere is relaxed, making it a great spot to enjoy with friends or a date, and the service was outstanding – warm, welcoming, and eager to explain the dishes and suggest the best combinations.
I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to try authentic Ethiopian cuisine or simply enjoy a special meal with great food. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I did not leave a single crumb on the plate. If I was in the area, I would surely have gone back the next day to eat the same dish.
Today, I decided to explore the flavors from the East Africa by trying Ethiopian cuisine. The African continent is home to more than 50 countries, each with its own unique dishes. Having tried cuisines from various African countries, I was looking forward to comparing this cuisine with what I have had previously in other restaurants.
The waitress at Vera's Kitchen was very pleasant and able to explain the items on the menu when we ordered.
I choose to eat Beyaynetu, a vegetarian dish served with injera bread, a spongy injera flat bread made from highly nutritious gluten-free teff flour. I loved the complex and rich flavors of the five items on top of the injera bread. Pieces of the bread are normally torn off and used to grab the lentils and vegetables on top, although using a fork is also an option. And like I said-not a crumb was left on the plate. I finished the meal off with fine Ethiopian coffee that arrived in the traditional vessel.
If there is anything that could be improved, possibly the restaurant's decor but I went there for the food. When the food is this excellent, ambiance is just a bonus.

Great food and excellent service and ambiance. I was just in ethiopia and can say that the injera, coffee and food is very authentic. Highly recommend. We had tibs and foulle and beef cubes. Injera as well as coffee. Very good.

Vera is absolutely lovely! She welcomes everyone, and has options for every appetite and background. We tried the coffee, entrees, amd desserts... everything was incredible! The coffee is roasted in house, so just the smell of the place is wonderful!
Thank you, Vera! We'll be back soon!

Food is not the best I got the most expensive thing in the menu, the lamb and it was just subpar. The grey spongy breadish thing they give you is actually ok at this location, still not a fan of it. Prices aren’t too bad either so if your into this cuisine I’d stop by.

I ate here a couple months ago and I threw away everything. I eat food from all diff countries and can find the good in any food. I’m not a picky eater at all. Something was quite off with the flavors. The food was bitter, every bite. If it wasn’t bitter than it was like a fermented sour that wasn’t a good type of fermented sour. It was the type of sour that needs to be thrown out . & whoever is cooking the food should not be wearing a face mask ( the type you smear on and wait for it to dry) all I kept thinking was that it would flake off her face and into my food. The customer service was the best part. The waitress was kind and attentive. The reviews do not reflect the taste of the food I ate that day. I gave a portion to my friends mom and even she threw it away as well.

I’m actually shocked… this has been the worst experience of eating Ethiopian food and I’m Ethiopian. Not to be rude but this is a poor representation of our homelands food. I understand it might be doing fine due to the area not having competition but man… this ain’t it. We ordered the veggie platter which was 100% not fresh, watery and just not good. Plus… we paid 22$ not including tip for a veggie combo… and it was tasteless and obviously made within the week and refrigerated. Salt couldn’t save it. If you’re from Manassas please try other spots so you understand where this review is from. The injera itself wasn’t good and you get charged extra even if it comes with the plate… not fair, not it and those other reviews have to be fake, like I’m genuinely shocked

Horrendous experience. I am from ethiopia and this was a very low quality restaurant. My wife and I pulled a long piece of hair out of the food when it was served. Also, we order beef tibs, and 90% of the pieces were pure fat and no meat. My wife is pregnant and when we found the hair in the food she could not eat anymore. We asked for the check and left. Maybe we came on a Monday?!?!? This is why the service and quality was so bad?
Very Disappointed & I was disrespected when I came there to eat. The owner Lady treated me like a second class citizen and shoved plates into my stomach while walking through me moving me to the side. When I asked about my order I was ignored and frowned at as if I was pestering her I will never go to a place to eat and be treated like I don't belong never again.....
