Prices are too high and I witnessed the owner verbally abuse her employees. Also, don't tip. The owner keeps them and doesn't give them to the people actually working. It's unfortunate, this place will likely continue to cut hours because they can't keep employees.
ETA: It speaks volumes that you are not speaking on your unprofessional behavior. You are more concerned with the name on the review. I saw another review where you said that you are short staffed because people don't want to work. You and I both know why you can't keep employees, don't we?
Cute hotdog stand, with plenty of seating, indoors and outdoors. The slaw dog is my favorite. It was perfect. The Carolina red hotdog can be jarring at first look, but it's yummy. The dip dog was liked by others in my party. It's a hand battered corn dog, not thickly breaded like the frozen kind.

Absolutely the best dip dogs in the world. We drove way out of our way to eat here again. The service was a bit slow, but I understand it was a bit crowded. Can't wait to return.

I grew up every summer coming to get a dip dog as a kid when we would visit family, and I came back to it as an adult. Same great taste and experience as I remember and staff were absolutely wonderful❤️❤️ The kids were playing with the penny press machine and they even gave them more coins to make more. It was so incredibly sweet, and I hope I can keep taking my daughters to this place every time we come visit!

food was really good as it always is. Ive been waiting for years to get here again and drove from illinois just for the corn dogs! it is very cheap, at least comparatively to where im from. The only issue I had was it took a while to get my food, but I think it was just a simple mistake .

On a long drive up to West Virginia, we stopped here for lunch and a moment to stretch our legs. This place was a crowd-pleaser and super fun!
It's a little off the beaten path, though you can see the sign from the highway if you squint. There's a decent amount of parking. This place has been around a long time (the 1950s, iirc) and you can see the ways it has grown over the years. The dining room, bathrooms, and gift shop are all sort of separate outbuildings. There's a small patio with a couple of metal chairs and tables, which is where we sat and ate; however, seems like call-in and carryout are popular options. You order at the counter in the main building and your order number will be called when your food is ready.
The menu consists of dip dogs (very similar to a corn dog, made with Carolina-style "red" hot dogs and slathered in mustard unless otherwise requested), hot dogs, burgers, simple sandwiches, chicken tenders, and ice cream/milkshakes.
We all wanted to save room for supper so we kept it pretty light; I had a grilled cheese and fries, parents each had a chili dog and split fries, and husband ordered two dip dogs.
This is obviously a family run establishment and we enjoyed seeing all the history through the pictures and tributes to family and community members while we waited. The gentlemen taking our orders were polite and working efficiently. The ladies' restroom was hot but clean when we visited it before getting back on the road.
Our food was simple and tasty! The fries were super hot and salted nicely and the grilled cheese was so buttery. My parents enjoyed their hot dogs. I tried a bite of a dip dog just to say that I had; I loved the nice light crisp of the breading (not as cakey as your average corn dog). If I got one I'd get it without mustard and dip in ketchup but that's just because I don't like mustard lol.
Overall, a fun, tasty, and interesting stop on a long road trip. Give them a try if you're in the area!

Oh So Good!! Their burgers and onion rings are the best!! My husband loves the dip dogs!! We eat there every time we visit family and friends in Marion!!
We were there on Sept 22nd, 2024 before the Bristol might races.
Thank you, Dip Dog Stand for the great food!!
Corn dog was fantastic as well as the banana shake. The onion rings were good but extremely greasy - I couldn't finish them. I would give 5 stars but they were closed the first 3 days I was in town which was disappointing.
It's been better. It needs a little upkeep completed
