Food is always good when we eat there so I can't complain about that service is always good the only thing I can complain about is that they seem to be randomly closed on certain days of the week.

Super delicious everything except perhaps the green beans which were over-salted. The pancakes were the best! We enjoyed the salmon cakes, brunch foods, and the country fried steak. This is a must stop for those who are looking for a good dining spot after church especially. It's quaint and the service is good.

I have been here several times and this is the first I am writing a review. This is on Main Street with parking in front of the Restaurant. It used to be the Ben Franklin store back in the 60-70s. Has Gorgeous wood floors! We went with a large family group for breakfast. The staff and food were amazing. Waitresses were friendly, food was great, and food was cooked exactly as ordered!! That created a wonderful experience for our family. With a group this large, I am thankful the waitress bought our food to us as the cook finished preparing the food - this worked great for our group! We were able to say our meal prayer and everyone’s food was hot and each order was correct !! I highly recommend this restaurant. To give an example of their commitment to a wonderful dining out experience, I will note that The Downtown Pioneer Restaurant was closing early that day due to a family funeral. Yet, we never felt rushed. The waitress refilled our coffee, our drinks and took care of us without us asking for anything. She was professional and friendly. I am not sure everyone could do that in their time of grief! Kudos to your staff and my condolences on your loss. I appreciate The Downtown Pioneer Restaurant being open on Monday and for the great food and hospitality. I definitely rate it as 5 stars and would rate The Downtown Pioneer Restaurant higher if I could. Kudos. Thank You

Came in for Sunday brunch, were not disappointed. My dining companion had the country fried steak which he allowed as compared favorably with the best he'd ever had. I had an omelette, which was similarly satisfying. The decor is a little sparse and the atmosphere a bit minimalistic, but they had friendly service, and good food for a good price. Would absolutely recommend for locals and tourists alike!
