$40 for 2 to eat breakfast and canned pre made sausage gravy. 👎🏻You asking those prices it better be homenade. Not the gravy from holiday in continental breakfast
Best place in town.

The Marshall Diner is a typical greasy spoon diner. Nestled in a strip mall on the outskirts of Marshall, the curb appeal was a little lacking. There is a large step entering the diner that could be difficult for some.
When we entered we were greeted by the staff and a slightly off-putting smell. We saw several patrons enjoying a meal, so we decided to stay.
The staff walked us to a table and took our drink order. My water had a odd taste to it, ended up sharing my friends tea. The water probably is city water straight from the tap. I recommend they get a filter.
The selection of food was vast, but our waiter wasn't able to answer simple questions regarding what came with a dish. I ended up getting the Marshall burger without the mushrooms and substituted onion rings for the frys. My friend got the grilled ham and cheese.
The food was okay and it was reasonably priced. Not one of my favorites for the area but not bad.

The food was fair and the service a bit slow. I don't think I will try it again.

This authentic small-town diner represents the Best of Middle America. Patriotic Immigrant-owned, always warm and welcoming, great food and community. They consistently go out of their way to engage with their town (Marshall VA--The Frontline of the Heartland!).
Waitress Geneise always goes above and beyond.
God Bless them all, at Marshall Diner!

Going in on a Saturday morning it was busy and the service seemed to completely buckle under the strain. We were forgotten about entirely for the first 20 minutes we were there, before a waitress came to finally apologize (our table never got assigned out to anyone) and take our order.
We got one round of drinks before waiting another 20-25 minutes for food to come out, again with more apologies as the kitchen had fallen behind. On top of it, the bacon ordered with both meals was so tough and stringy it was ultimately inedible.
