Jane's Country Cafe

I had a fantastic Parkway burger and onion rings today. Highly recommended.

Classic diner food. Had fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and they were delicious. BLT was good with plenty of bacon. Hubs had a chuckwagon burger and really enjoyed that. Family we were with enjoyed their meals too.

Food was cold when we received it. Took over 30 minutes for a hamburger. Server never came back to check on us. Had to get our own silverware.

I absolutely do not recommend Jane’s Country Cafe. We stopped today for some lunch and I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and French Fries. I ate four fries and when I went to eat my burger I realized the bottom bun was moldy. Yes all green. There was no mistaken it was green as green could be. I called the waitress over and showed her and all she did was as take the plate after I told her I would not be eating that. A manger did not address our table no nothing. Needless to say we will NEVER go back to Jane’s.

This place was such a slice of home! The food is good ol soul food and comfort food, it'll remind you of your mama and grandmama's cookin, and the food warms you up inside.

I got friend green tomatos, chicken and dumplings, with mashed potatos and stewed apples. The soup was fantastic and hearty, the gravy on the mashed potatos was mouth watering, the stewed apples were so sweet and perfectly seasoned, and the fried green tomatos were out of this world crispy without getting soggy.

Anytime I'm up this way this'll be my first stop for food! ♡

Food was good but service was horrible we waited over 10 minutes for waitress to take our order and sit in for an hour and no food yet. We ended up paying for our food to go. Won't eat there again.

We sat down and waited for 10 minutes for someone to come to our table. When a table that sat down after us was greeted and order taken before us, we left. We were looking forward to it. Unfortunate

We're local and always love to go to Jane's!

Amazing little diner

I have been sitting here for over ten minutes without so much as a hello. Lady at the register is talking to someone on speaker and only helping walking pickups and such. Another couple is in here being treated the same way. We are the only people here.
Quick update, I called and let someone there know what had happened. About five minutes later, the manager called me and made it right. We ended up getting dinner to go. Everyone else there was extremely polite and professional. Thank you for that.

Great people and food

Small town cafe feel. Had the daily special of meat loaf, mac and cheese, greens, and a bun. The mac was missing cream so the cheese was clumped. The meat loaf fell apart. Everything was tasty though.

I enjoyed a bacon cheeseburger and the potato soup the onion rings were great too.

Great food at a great price.

Hole in the wall restaurant in the mountains of VA this place is awesome.
