Hosts Matt and Marybeth go out of their way to provide a great atmosphere! The winery is beautiful and the wine is excellent! Nice variety of non-alcoholic beverages too! Highly recommended!
Stumbled upon this winery while having a long weekend in the Staunton area. Matt and MaryBeth are fabulous wine makers and hosts! Truly enjoyed getting to know them and their wines, and excited to return in the near future!

Above Ground Winery is a winery run by its owners in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, offering a great selection of good wines from their own vines. The winery provides a nice variety of tasty blends, with the owner/winemaker taking great care in their production. Hosts Matt and Marybeth go out of their way to provide a great atmosphere. The winery is beautiful and the wine is excellent. There is also a nice variety of non-alcoholic beverages. Visitors can enjoy a scenic drive and a great experience at this well-worth-visiting establishment. The tasting room is intimate and cozy. After tasting, visitors can take a walk up the hill to see the vineyard and enjoy the views.
