Best ciders in VA. Big Fish offers a delicious range of ciders — all reflecting the care and experience that comes from working with local apples and growers. Tasting room is charming. A great place to learn and enjoy cider.
My partner and I stopped in since we were staying in the area. Full disclosure -- we aren't cider fans (we're mostly beer drinkers). That said, we LOVED this place. The Elevation and Hewes Crab flavors were 11/10. We planned to stay for one drink and ended up staying a lot longer AND going home with a case. It didn't hurt that the staff (shoutout to Geoff!) were so kind and helpful. Would for sure recommend this place.
Unique ciders that really maintain the great apples taste and with a nice kick !

Big Fish Cider Co. offers fantastic brut style ciders ranging from dry to semi-dry, with no still or sweet options in their flights. Located in the beautiful town of VA, the place can be busy during events like the Highland Maple Festival, but maintains good service and features enjoyable local music. The staff is knowledgeable and recommended the Wild Meadow cider, known for its tangy wild apple flavor with a hint of floral. The owner is friendly and accommodating, providing ciders even outside regular hours. The venue is tastefully decorated and worth visiting when open.
