This is a pretty well known brewery, as we purchase their beers from the grocery stores on a regular basis. The food was pretty good, there are several things to choose from. I also liked the spicy mango margarita. We found it odd that this was the only place we went to on our 151 hop that didn't have stickers. We collected a sticker from every other place, even if they were for purchase so it would be nice if they would carry some.

Don’t get the nachos. It’s basically an entire bag of nacho chips with 3 beans and nasty cheese for a ridiculous amount of money. Way overpriced for the quality. Go to Devils backbone instead
Thank you to the guy at the bar who suggested my picnic spot with my order to go at spruce creek park! A gem!

Food and drinks were served for a long time. The server we had was nice though.
The area is really nice and cozy. We enjoyed eating outside.
The foods that we ordered was absolutely delicious and satisfying. Except for the mac and cheese where the cheese seemed grainy and not fully melted. Oh, and they disappointingly forgot to put cheese in the build-your-own burger that we also ordered *not pictured*.
Get the onion rings though, the dips that came with it were absolutely delicious!!!
Something different than the high level breweries. But all 4 of us enjoy the quiet atmosphere and very friendly staff. Beer samples and snacks were great. Hurt was very knowledgeable and informed us about some things that we can enjoy around this area.

I was in a large group that had lunch after a morning hike. It's the same high quality beer and food as the Charlottesville location, but a wonderful out in the country vibe. Our group was served on point and efficiently over two large hi top tables. Seating was also available outside, with lots of space and shade.
I twice enjoyed one of the Fresh Beers (IPA), and bought a 4-pack of the West Coast IPA to go.
Food! The menu is robust. I chose the PitMaster Burger, which combines pulled pork with a large burger patty. It was very filling and delicious. The pork has a stronger flavor, and it worked well for me. The hand cut fries with sea salt were excellent.
My wife had the steak Caeser salad. She ate every bite of a generous bowl. The sirloin steak was very good, but some gristle was present.
Strongly recommend this brewpub!

Pretty disappointing experience here to be honest. Being local, I gave them multiple opportunities to earn my business. Long periods with zero attention from servers checking back after food delivered, cold entrees, warm beer to start, empty glasses in need of refills and on and on. Neighbors related similar experiences.
Best of luck to em.

Three Notch’d has been a longtime favorite of ours, so we were especially excited to visit this Nellysford (Nelson County) outpost—and it didn’t disappoint! The brewpub offers a solid lineup of award-winning beers alongside a full craft kitchen with tasty lunch specials. We've been fans since 2017, and it was great to revisit their offerings. This time around, GOSE-RILLA! was our absolute favorite—an imperial fruited sour packed with raspberry and blueberry flavor. Tart, bold, and bursting with fruit (and a high abv).
The setting blends casual dining and outdoor fun. While the front is minimally landscaped, the backyard opens up into a spacious area. The brewpub features cabana rentals, axe throwing, and a small gazebo and koi pond for a peaceful touch. We wish we could have stayed longer, but it was a perfect and quick stop for a good lunch and great beer.

We ate outside this past Sunday and had an amazing time. From the shaded setting in the front courtyard, the attentive staff (Dana), great selection of drinks (I did a beer flight and really enjoyed the Jacks Java Coffee Ale and the Watermelon Gose), to the tasty food (breakfast tacos 🤤) -- everything was perfect. I highly recommend getting there for weekend brunch!
