My wife and I go here about once or twice a year. She's the wine drinker in the family and has always enjoy their blanc. They really stepped up their menu with more options than a charcuterie board. The samosas were so good I ordered more and the buffalo chicken dip really hit the spot for me. Tasty and shareable, the pretzels they have are from their old menu, so I'm too scared to try them to see if they changed. The location is beautiful as always and they had some very friendly ladies working. It's my wife's happy place and I'm glad they are continuing to improve!

The beer and wine are good. However we had a gift card which was mailed to us from the winery when a friend purchased it. That was in December 2023. Went to use it April 1, 2024 and were informed that due to a system error on their end any gift cards present after March 31 they cannot verify any gift cards presented so they won’t be honoring it. A system error on their part means that any money you gave them is just gone I suppose and they won’t make any concessions on remedying it. We brought the gift card in the envelope it was sent, with the winery logo on it, post dated, with the brochure they send in the mail along with it. Fairly odd way of handling their business.

I wish I got the names of the two ladies who helped us today but they were both awesome! Both the wine and beer were amazing, probably some of the best we’ve had in Virginia. We had our 4 year old with us and he had a great time. Also had parking for our camper. Would definitely recommend.

I will start with the positive. The venue is nice and food and wine were tasty. However, the customer service was poor. The manager on March 2, 2024 was very rude on multiple occasions. I was there with my mother and her friends, celebrating 3 birthdays. I ordered 3 desserts for the birthday girls and I placed them on railing in front of our table so we could finish the appetizers and food on our table. The desserts appeared stable but fell off. I told the manager and someone came out to clean up. I asked if they would replace the desserts and she said no, I would need to buy more. The manager refused to comp or replace the desserts. We bought many bottles of wine and food. The manager was pretty rude. At the end of our time at the winery most of the group was up front waiting on someone in our party that was in the bathroom. The manager told us we needed to go outside and that we were blocking the area even thought no one was coming in or out. The manager was very rude to us and lacked customer service. It was upsetting for all of us. I’ve never had such customer service ever.

I visited New Kent Winery today with eight friends to celebrate a birthday. The staff at the bar was exceptional and the food was delicious. We ordered three desserts which we put on the ledge across from our table and they subsequently fell. I realize it was our fault but the manager was not willing to work with us at all. She was very rude and condescending especially to two ladies in the group. We didn't expect to get three more desserts but she was unwilling to work with us at All. When we were ready to leave we were waiting for a friend to return from the bathroom and she told us we had to move because she needed the area to be free. There was no one coming through the area. In my experience customer service goes a long way in getting repeat business which is something this manager lacks. What was a very fun afternoon turned into an unpleasant experience. It will be awhile before I return.

We had a wonderful experience today! Dianne was our host for the tasting, and she was so knowledgeable about their wines. Amazing!!

The menu has chocolate cake with pecans. There were no pecans in it. When I told the server she said it is a misprint in the menu. No refund.

My fiancé and I came today and did wine tasting for the first time with Dianne. She made the experience awesome and gave us a lot of good information on the wines. Definitely will be going back to see Dianne and learn more about the wines here!

Great place to try wine, beer and good food. Lots of seatings to relax at and even bring a board game to play.

A great place to catch up with some friends on a nice day. There's plenty of seating (mainly outdoor) and parking. It's kind of run like a fast casual place where you order at the bar and bring your drinks to a self-selected table. You get a ticket for your food and pick it up at the window. They don't have any buzzers though so you just have to check around the time estimate they provided. Their menu is mainly light bites and can be hit or miss. We've gotten cold food a few times, which could be due to the system I described above. I'm not a huge wine drinker and I like fruity and sweeter drinks so I've found the Sweet Virginia wine to be up my alley. It's a pretty small bottle and can easily be consumed by one person.

Embarking on our annual family winery tour, an anticipated celebration brimming with joy, took an unexpected turn at the New Kent Winery. The setting, typically adorned with warm memories, revealed a new chapter of challenges. Following a gracious tasting, we were directed to savor our selections outdoors, amidst a frosty atmosphere below 40 degrees. A lingering COVID-era policy, enforced by the manager curtailed our indoor experience. Despite attempting resilience on freezing patio furniture, the absence of heaters--reportedly unprepared for use by the manager-- left us yearning for warmth, contrasting with the enviable comfort of the only other two patrons continuing their tastings indoors. Regrettably, the frigid conditions compelled us to retreat to the refuge of our vehicle. The juxtaposition of stellar libations and a chilly reception by staff leaves uncertainty about the winery's continued presence on our cherished tour.
