Everything has just a little something extra. Pulled pork sandwich, but it's on coco bread. Slaw has a little red pepper for extra flavor. Sweet tea, but with mint. Good food and the woman running the place is as nice as can be.
We basically ordered one of everything! In a million years, I wouldn't have expected Jamaican beef patties to be some of the best I've ever had out in middle of nowhere VA. The Mac and cheese... The greens... And OMG the meats! Highly recommend "meet the meats"! We will be back!!!
Went in today for my lunch, what a great experience. The chicken was amazing and the service was top of the line very friendly, most definitely will be going back.
Not your typical BBQ spot. The flavors are so unique we were in for such a delightful, delicious surprise! Meat was tender and soooo flavorful. The greens, omg the greens! The owner and staff were friendly and eager to make sure we were satisfied. You've got to stop by, your taste buds will thank you!
Amazing as always! Donna is so talented at making amazing tasty food. Also her family amazing as well. Stop in and you will be so pleased you did!!!!
The wife and i were traveling I-81 South on a recent January Sunday to stop for lunch. We found the leg quarters to be very large, the cole slaw superb, and the ice tea hit the spot. I often have stopped in for the brisket when I come to Timberville to pick up BBQ halves for my Ruritan Club. Being the BBQ pitmaster for my Ruritan Club for the last 40 years and booking up to 7200 BBQ Chicken halves for the summer I recognize a great que when it hits my tastebuds. Do your tastebuds a favor stop in for your next meal.
Amazing food, service and i'm not just saying that because the owner Donna is my best friend. if you want homemade, delicious food and sides please stop in!!! i promise you will be hooked! they others that help her are her family and close friends, so your like family when you're there!!! So please check it out, you won't be disappointed!!!!
Stopped in on my way up I-81, as the reviews made it seem worthwhile. The bottled water was the only thing fresh. Most of my food ended up in the bin.
Found this spot on our way to Massanutten Resort. Great BBQ. We had the meat sampler. Loved the brisket. Also got the collard greens and mac and cheese. Really enjoyed the mac and cheese which is made with asiago cheese and pepper. Great ambience. There were a lot of Christmas decorations and music. Would come back again to try J*** Chicken
Pulled pork sandwich, Mac and cheese and garlic potatoes were so good!! And super friendly. Highly recommend. (:

Great place with a really good BBQ sandwich. Wonderful staff that always makes you feel like your home. RIp Mr. Townes I'll always remember your love of BBQ.
Delicious beef brisket, bbq chicken and pulled pork bbq. Yummy sides and cocoa bread. Big portions. The original owner passed away but his widow continues what he started. Best bbq around!!!
Donna is wonderful. Food is delicious. We drove through and stopped because it smelled sooo goood. I can’t recommend enough!!!PS Go Packers!
Hands down some of the BEST BBQ we have had. My husband is from TX and I’m from NC, so to say we are BBQ snobs is an understatement! Donna is a BBQ whisperer! Food is amazing and extra bonus we had the pleasure of sitting and talking with Donna. Great food and great conversation learning the history. Keep rocking it out!!
Brisket was awful. It was burnt and then reheated in a microwave. Couldn't get the bad taste out of my mouth. $35 for two sandwiches. Did not include sides or drinks. Had to stop a gas station to get sandwich. Sad when gas station food is better.
