The best dinner during our three-week vacation

Found it by chance on Google. Since it's tucked away inconspicuously in the shopping district, we would have definitely driven past it without Google.

Great restaurant with awesome home-style cooking. It feels like grandma is still in the kitchen cooking herself! We had burgers and various sandwiches with fries. Everything was superbly prepared and very tasty. All the food arrived at the table at the same time and hot. Our waitress was super attentive and also helped and advised us on our choice of dishes. All our questions were answered immediately.
This is not to be missed! Be sure to stop by if you're ever in the area! We hope the restaurant will be around for a long time to come! Top notch!

I seen the billboard on my way home to MD. I didn't realize that I was going by it coming and going. Went there for dinner with my friend and was blown away. The service was above and beyond nice. And the pork chops were awesome and dessert ridiculous Good. My newest favorite. Highly recommended.

OMG!!! We stopped at Kendall’s on our way to Norfolk and absolutely loved the food!!!!! So much we had to stop on the way back home!! Can’t wait to go back again!!!! Thank you for that banging a** food!!!!

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for the first time. The food was amazing, and the service was wonderful. I ordered a cheesesteak sub with French fries and collard greens. My only complaint is that the collard greens were bland and lacking in flavor; adding some smoked fatback or smoked turkey would have enhanced them nicely. Other than that, my meal was delicious. My husband had a bacon cheeseburger with fries and cabbage. He mentioned that the cabbage was also bland and could benefit from some bacon for added flavor. Overall, the food was very good, and we would definitely return.

Food was delicious. Real soul food. The waitress was working all tables by herself and she did it flawlessly. Would definitely recommend to anyone. We had the fried pork chops, cabbage, mashed potatoes and gravy, hamburger steak, fried okra with cornbread. We also had the chicken livers. Everything was delicious.

I've eaten at this restaurant before and love the food now the service was a little slow because she had a server on vacation and one called out on her, so she was taking orders and cooking but everything was still great! I'd give this place 3 ?????? because not only were my fried chicken livers sooooooo go and mashed potatoes and greens and cornbread was awesome. I was so impressed how she ran it with just herself and I believe 1 other person was in the kitchen with her but because she was short staffed and she didn't have everything on the menu available do to short staff we got free desserts which were awesome!! My bf had the hamburger steak meal he said it was good and Mac and cheese and spinach which by the way is the first soul food restaurant I've seen serve spinach and for you non pork eaters they don't season their greens with pork. But all in all I'll give her a 9 out 10 hopefully she can get some more dependable staff so she won't be spread so thin. And also make sure you try the coconut cake and the bread pudding it was sooooo good!

On another day, this place may get a higher review. Food was good, service was good however the cook forgot about one of our orders so the last order came out when the others were done eating. They kindly compensated for this meal. Overall, the wait service was good, but the wait for the food was very long. Not sure what's going on with the smell in the restaurant...it smelled similar to a porta potty while seated at the front of the restaurant away from the restroom?

Her attitude toward the employee is ridiculous and nasty. You should never treat anyone any kind of a way that u don’t want anyone to treat u.
