Is this a common practice for country cooking?
I remember managers coming around and being pleasant to the customers not seeking vindication through berating him underlings in the common areas.
I know as a manager it is a private thing to discipline staff.
As of this time I am taking my money elsewhere,...read full review
We have eaten here several times since the reopening. Every time we eat here it seems to progressively get worse. We keep giving them chances because we like to support local small businesses and every one has off days. Tonight will be our last night coming here. My husband and I live in Culpeper and we have been here before to eat and it was really good. Last evening we went to have dinner and the food off the bar was cold and disappointing. The waitress was a zombie couldn't hardly open her mouth not friendly at all. We were so disappointed 😞 don't go to eat on a weekday for dinner.

Country Cookin Depot offers a pleasant surprise with a great bar, amazing buffet, and welcoming staff. The salad bar is the best in years, with tasty and varied food at the right temperature. Vegetarian options include a large salad bar and hot vegetable bar. The mesquite grilled chicken and baked potato are cooked perfectly, and the biscuits are a hit. The friendly waitress provides lovely service, earning extra tips. The restaurant is known for its good food-for-the-money deals, making it a popular spot for families and visitors from nearby cities. Visitors enjoy the homemade dressing with buttermilk, which is highly recommended. However, the restaurant faces some challenges with wheelchair accessibility due to tight spaces and multiple doors to navigate. Despite this, it remains a favorite for its hearty country cuisine and consistent quality.
