I've been coming here for years when traveling through Orange, VA, even before covid, and them closing. They closed and reopened. I didn't have any issues with the restaurant before they closed. After reopening, I was excited to drive 2 hours to try them out. Ive been several times since. Sad to say, it's just not the same. Today was the worst. Quality of food has gone down, and the staff is NOT ATTENTIVE! waited over 15min. for waitress to take our order, and we were the only ones in there. (Friday 11:15am) Wait staff were all in the middle room where they get drinks, talking and gossiping. I could hear them and was sitting over by window. We finally had to flag our waitress to come to the table. Wait staff definitely needs more training or someone watching over them to attend to costumers. Really miss the friendly customer service and good breakfast and lunch from YEARS ago.

The food was excellent and felt like home cooking. Our waitress was not too attentive. I finally went to the checkout counter to get our check; otherwise, we might still be sitting there.:)

I had to chase down someone for something to drink 5 different times.

Our waitress was too busy talking to the other servers.

I kept checking the kitchen for our food and once I saw it was ready I had to go chase after that!

The servers in there are not bothered about working.

They definitely need people with more wait experience!

This is the second time in a year that the service has been poor. The food has been good!

2nd vist, food is good. It fills the itch for a buffet style dinner my husband always talks about and priced fairly. The buffet was clean and they where quick on restocking food.

Left one star so I could leave a review. Visited this restaurant on Monday, Sept 22, 2025 about 530pm. I was visiting from out of town and have to say this was the absolute worst place I have eaten in a very long time. I actually got very sick after eating here and was sick for about 3 days after. I had a salad and chicken fried chicken with a bake potato. I also had green beans. The chicken was still a little pink inside when I got to the middle. I should've cut it on first. Not sure how you can mess up a baked potato but it had a very strong Sulphur taste. The green beans tasted like they were dumped out of a can and not even warmed up. The employees were complaining about someone having called in and didn't show for work. One middle-aged man was talking about having been called in to cook and he was mad about it so he didn't even attempt to do things properly. I heard him tell someone he just dumped the veggies on the hot bar straight from the containers they were in. 3 younger girls were standing around gossiping about something that happened in their personal lives. I do not recommend this place at all to anyone.
