Country Cookin Depot

One of the best food-for-the-money deals out there. We live in a big city 3 states away, but our whole family looks forward to coming here as one of the highlights of visiting Orange. Love this restaurant!

I love this place, I've Loved this place when I was growing up, though it is Under New Management per se, but the original managers are here. So the reality is it hasn't changed very much other than who owns it. My only for real issue with it now is that the prices are exuberant on Sundays. They do this brunch thing or something they call it on Sunday and it's about twice as expensive on Sundays. Me and my GF went there earlier in the week and for two of us it was around $25 and I was expecting that on Sunday and it was double that. So I will not be returning on Sundays!

I was in the area and stopped in for the most unexpected delightful experience of country cuisine. They boast of their homemade dressing with buttermilk as well as they should, it was awesome. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great salad bar with actual salad, multiple sides, breads, and desserts. Servers are very friendly, and management visits guests to see how folks are doing.

James was extremely helpful with the catering for our wedding. They were extremely generous and the food was delicious. They dropped it off right on time and it all went very smoothly. Would recommend them to anybody.

We have eaten here several times since the reopening. Every time we eat here it seems to progressively get worse. We keep giving them chances because we like to support local small businesses and every one has off days. Tonight will be our last night coming here. We are not ones to fuss but it has gotten ridiculous. Me and my husband both got bacon cheeseburgers, our daughter got a kids country fried steak and our son got a grilled cheese. Our burgers were way over cooked, like to the point where it tasted like charcoal. The grilled cheese was made on a hamburger bun that was flipped inside out and that was also burnt. Almost everything on the salad bar was old and nasty.

My husband and I live in Culpeper and we have been here before to eat and it was really good. Last evening we went to have dinner and the food off the bar was cold and disappointing. The waitress was a zombie couldn't hardly open her mouth not friendly at all. We were so disappointed 😞 don't go to eat on a weekday for dinner.

Yea, not going back... had just gotten off, was hungry tried this place and got this... the. The chicken tasted like the burn ends of the grill.
