Atmosphere and decor of the restaurant was excellent. Service was good but seemed understaffed. Cocktail and wine I ordered were great and had a good selection. Menu had a lot of variety with ambitious flavors and pairing. The food I ordered was fine, but there is room for improvement. Overall my experience was good. My wife and I discussed that we liked the restaurant and will give the food another try.

We enjoyed the 'Prix fixe' special menu on Valentine's Day! Super fresh ingredients, attentive staff, and a rose for each lady on the way out! What more could one ask for..

The food was fantastic! Everything was so fresh and delicious. The espresso martini with bourbon was a revelation. The shrimp risotto with the white wine cream sauce was so good I was lapping up the leftover sauce with a spoon. Highly recommend this restaurant!

First off,all the food we had was delicious. However, they were out of 2/3 of the items we wanted. It was a prix fixe menu and we had made reservations soI'm not sure why they didn't have enough. The price wouldn't have been an issue if they'd had what we wanted but it was a lot for not getting what we came for.

We have eaten at Forked several times. The food was way below the level we have experienced prior to the Valentines meal on 02/14/23. Service was fine but food was not. We were very disappointed.

We were visiting from out of town and as we arrived for dinner we realized we had eaten here and had a great experience in 2021. For this visit, our server was bright with energy, knew the menu well and very attentive. We sampled the pot stickers and delicious carrot, onion and curry soup in the Sip option, which was a perfect starter size. For the mains we mixed it up with the half chicken (very large portions), market catch special and the Bolognese. Each dish was excellent. We finished the evening with a wonderful mix apple crumble with almond ice cream. It was, once again, a fantastic dining experience.

The service wasn't great. We barely got greeted when we sat down. Took a very long time just to come back and asked if we would like a drink or apps. Main dish was either too salty or under cook. Didn't bother to tell us about the specials until we asked. Wasn't the best experience. It was our first time there. Highly doubt we will come back

Awesome cocktail. The French pear martini was super delicious. We had the steak and the Salmon and both dishes were very good: great presentation and taste. We highly recommend to stop by for a drink and a meal anytime you drive by or stay in Orang Virginia

We were driving through small towns in the Culpeper area, and stopped here to eat lunch. The food was really good. Updated atmosphere, great staff, and great food.

We ate on a Sunday afternoon on a rainy day. The carrot soup was delicious and a solid portion (cup for me, bowl for the spouse). I had salmon with mushrooms and bok choy. Spouse had the Bolognese. We were both delighted by the taste of our respective meals and portion sizes. Filling yet not overly so. Each had a glass of wine (excellent but Northern VA / DC prices). Finally topped off with a chocolate cake / blueberry dessert. The Irish coffee came with a generous Jameson pour on the side which is a great way to manage the flavor. Large enough dessert portions for me to have my leftovers for decadent breakfast. Service was friendly, attentive and helpful with the menu options. It was on the more costly side but definitely now in our dining out rotation.

We called early to ask if the soup of the day was vegetarian. We were assured that it was. It was a big and very offensive surprise when I bit into a piece of bacon while eating the 'vegetarian' soup. When we called back, the person we spoke to basically placed the blame on us for failing to specify that we wanted the soup vegetarian. At no point did anyone tell us that the soup was garnished with onion and BACON jam. How do you ask not to include an ingredient that you weren't told was there? She offered a refund. She did not offer an apology. The food is good. The service we received was not. We will not be back.

I have been there 4 times in the last year. The first time everything was good with the exception of being a little pricey. Just went there 1/11/2024 and that will be my last time, it cost me $60 for lunch and I couldn’t eat half of it The shrimp & grits and crab bisque were horrible, my wife and I were very disappointed.
