Lovely quiet inn with super friendly staff!
If you're on the fence, go for it. Our room and package were great, the resturant was phenomenal, and the staff were excellent. The only downside for our stay was that the spa was fully booked during our stay and we didn't get to book massages.
We went there for our anniversary and they did an amazing job! the privacy was perfect. the service was absolutely on point and the food was to die for! We highly recommend!!! thank you Wednesday š The menus with our names on it was a beautiful touch.. we're literally talking about making this our go-to spot for our anniversary every year and we live in Michigan š
I was looking last week to make an Easter brunch and my husband's 70th birthday reservation, and visited many restaurant websites to find availability and menus. There were many options available. The Vintage restaurant did not have its menu posted on its website. They did have the Mother's Day prefix menu posted. I called the restaurant to inquire about their menu and was told that it was not going to be the $75.00 per person prix fixe menu. She also said that she would have a menu printed with my husband's name. I made a reservation because we have dined there for brunch a few times prior and liked the menu options. I have been checking all week, looking for the menu, and it was just posted either yesterday or today. Just a few days before Easter. Well, it is a prix fixe menu and $75.00 per person. I called to inquire because the starters we not appealing to us. I was told Sorry, you were given the wrong information, but this is the menu and no other option. I explained that there is not an open reservation anywhere!!! I asked to speak to the manager, but she was busy. She does have my phone number and email contact, and she never reached out.
No regard that they failed to post the menu in a timely manner and spoiled my husband's birthday!! I was diligent, and they failed and do not seem to care.
We will not return or purchase any more gift cards for family and friends!!
Sitting here, very sad that my husband does not get his Birthday Brunch!!!!

Website site special rates were not honored at check out doubling the cost of expected anniversary week end
I recently hosted my auntās 70th birthday celebration at The Inn at Willow Grove, and it was absolutely flawless from start to finish. Planning an event from 3,000 miles away could have been a challenge, but the incredible team at the Inn made it effortless.
The grounds were stunning, the staff was exceptional, and a special shoutout goes to Catherine, who assisted me with every detail leading up to the event. She was warm, attentive, and made sure everything was exactly as we envisioned. No request was too small, and she and the team ensured the evening went off without a hitch.
I truly canāt thank them enough for their gracious hospitality and for making this milestone celebration so special. If youāre looking for a breathtaking venue with top-tier service, The Inn at Willow Grove is the place to go!

Magical weekend - we stayed in the Schoolhouse just steps from the main inn, and it was perfect in every way! Staff is top notch - kudos to Ray whose friendly smile and pride in the Inn were a bright spot. Canāt wait to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the beautiful grounds and outdoor seating areas. Loved Gordonsville and Orange Main Streets - unique shops, restaurants and local artisans.

Stayed here for two nights to celebrate our anniversary. We booked the most expensive room, the Master Suite, thinking it should have been their best room, and maybe it is, but I would not book it again. It is spacious, and the bed is comfortable, but it is also as close as you can get to the road, which despite looking quite small on the map is apparently heavily trafficked by trucks, and something about the landscape makes even small cars very loud. It's clearly audible in the room even at midnight, so I can't imagine a time when the balcony would be a pleasant place to sit.
As others have mentioned, there is no in-room coffee, nor is there consistently available coffee service. They put a big urn out at about 6am. At this price point, I should have a Nespresso in the room. They also have glassware and a corkscrew in the sitting room, but no mini-bar, or even a small refrigerator, despite ample room for both. The provided toiletries are nice, but I was surprised to not find a shower cap in the bathroom. They have robes, but not slippers. There are multiple fountains and fire pits outside, but such poor lighting that traversing the stairs at night feels dangerous. They have two older EV chargers, but no Tesla charger, despite there being 5x as many Teslas on the road compared to any other EV manufacturer.
At check-out, I pointed out that they had not charged me for one of our breakfasts and the manager? I guess decided to participate in the conversation at the front desk by yelling from another room. I'm still not sure whether they fixed that. Sounds like someone else bought us breakfast one morning. That breakfast included an obviously burned piece of bacon, by the way. Their bill also solicits tips for housekeeping (fine) and "guest services." Having worked in hotels, I understand that housekeepers and valets should be tipped, concierges should be tipped if they do something for you, but you don't pay your front desk staff a living wage? They need tips too? At $500/night. All of that was incredibly tacky.
It very much feels like they are sincere about getting this right, but consistently dropping the ball on the details.
If we came again, I'd consider one of the cottages far away from the main house to address the noise issue, but I'd still expect coffee in my room at $500/night. This isn't Vegas.

There's no coffee machine or any hot water carafe in the room I stayed in, you have to either call the concierge or to go in person and it will be added to your bill!
Food and drinks: We ate at the Inn, the food was very good, but pricey ,the service was excellent!
