Huge disappointment. Two years ago, my sister visited from Europe, and we had a delicious meal here of Fish & Chips and the Weaver's sandwich. We returned on Saturday, 11/29/25, to find the quality had fallen below mediocre. Service was excellent, but the fish was now dry strips of Alaskan rockfish, whatever that is (I believe it was previously the typical thick, juicy cod), the fries were soggy and tasteless, and the price had risen substantially. My sister had the potato skins, which were tasteless - simply minimal toppings on baked potato slivers; she had to request extra sour cream. How I wish we had taken pictures. I also had a Bloody Mary, which was undrinkable: Some supermarket mixture with other weird additives. No tomato juice, vodka and celery stick. Horrid. When we got home, I was so disgusted that I phoned the restaurant and spoke with the manager to voice problems before writing this review. She was kind and asked why we said nothing at the time. I would have, but my sister, who paid, was embarrassed. Beth said she would relay concerns to the owner, who should phone me after Monday. To date, 12/7/25, I have heard nothing. Orange's La Naraja offers an excellent menu for less, especially on Margarita Mondays, if you enjoy Mexican. Silk Mill Grille's food is pathetic. And $12 for a glass of wine at lunch is over the top when cuisine is so dismal. How I wish we could erase the memory.

Overall good experience. We came in for an early lunch around 11:30 -they just opened and only a few tables. Server was friendly and helpful with my husbands dairy allergy. Food was good. His steak was a bit undercooked but edible. The sauce on the steak grillers and rice was great. Slow service at the end but we will be back.

Ordered the Alfredo and potato soup, was probably the worst meal I’ve ever got from a restaurant, the pasta was plain with pasta water on it , no cheese, and they put broccoli which I asked without and it was hard , the potato soup was thick like jelly and tasted like water , will not be back

I've only been here a few times over the past few years, and each time, I was with a group. We have always had slow service, even when we were the only full table in the dining room. The food is always good and there are lots of options on the menu, but the prices are high for this area. The environment is nice, with the historically-themed dining area, giving you lots to look at while you wait. If you have the time and don't mind spending a little more, it's still a nice choice.

Hostess rude and no friendly. She did not make you feel welcomed. Rockfish taste pretty good but, read menu carefully and repeat what exactly you are getting on your plate before waitress leaves.

The atmosphere was good, and the wait staff were very very friendly! I enjoyed reading about the history of the building which the restaurant is located in. However the food was average. It was not bad, and I would go back. But there was nothing on the menu that really amazed me with its flavour profile.

Warning*** 2 hours and no entree . I have never had a more horrible experience with all of my 3 million views. This restaurant has only money on it's mind. Spoke with manager and she could of cared less about about our experience. To the owners I wish nothing but the best for your small town vibe.... That said tell your employees to understand that 2 hrs of life being wasted in a restaurant is unacceptable. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
