I am a transplant from New York City and I often find it difficult to get a taste of home locally. This place knocks it out of the park for that occasional guilty pleasure meal. Great for a date, great with the kids. Everybody leaves happy!

Today my wife and I visited The Dog House for the first time of what will soon become many.
This little off the beaten path joint is PHENOMENAL. Nothing from the delicious hot dogs, chili and slaw, to the burgers, to the OUTSTANDING onion rings, to a nice beer selection was lacking. The owner was very friendly and the cook made sure he made everything perfectly. Our mutt, Freya, even got in on the burger and fry action and loved it.
If you are within a 90 minute drive of Orange, Virginia, or further if you’re a hot dog connoisseur, make the trip. You won’t regret it.
Oh, I’m told the wings are delicious too, but I didn’t have room for them today. I’ll be back soon!!

We were in town for a funeral and had to stop on our way home for some food. We chose this place based on the menu, as we have kids, the prices, and also others' reviews. I won't get into too much detail, but YES. The food was good, not fancy, but good. The prices were super reasonable, and the owner was SO NICE. Take the atmosphere away as it isn't fancy but it was clean so don't expect 5 star restaurant. We will absolutely be back!

The brisket dog is amazing. The sausage is made with burnt ends! They have amazing onion rings and fries. Both my wife and I had sauerkraut. It was amazing.
