Our Corvette Club visited Paint Bank Swinging Bridge recently. The staff was excellent and the food was outstanding. They did an amazing job of accommodating 25+ people. Everyone enjoyed shopping in the General Store. Some of the members had never visited Paint Bank and I am sure they will want to return.
Fantastic food and service. Great atmosphere and a scenic drive in. Would recommend to anyone!
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would.
It's under new management and the management is horrible and rude!!
We wanted to sit at a corner table but instead he made us sit at a table for 2 that was barely big enough to put our food on. when the waitress come to take our order she told us we could move. So we did, but then he came back over and made us get up and go back to the table for 2.
And then he sit another couple at a table for 6( made NO sense at all)
Long story short the waitress was awesome her name was Kacy.. the food was smaller portions than prior visit under old management.. the menu price did not match the receipt and the new management is disrespectful and rude! Do yourself a favor don't stop here! Needless to say we will never be back!
Overpriced and rude management!
Went there today June 25 2025 got there had to wait I ordered salad and wings because iam on keto diet wife ordered salad and onion straws and chicken tenders she got her salad and onion straws I got my wings she got her salad and onion straws so we are finished eating what we got we asked about my salad and her tenders waitress said I don’t know where it is they must have forgot to make it seriously so I talked to the man that was running around helping other people he said I herd about that we were busy really that’s the answer I got we drive over an hour to go eat there won’t happen no more if your to busy to get people there food shut the doors and turn off the lights never got the rest of our food so we paid for what we got and left we will not come back there so folks good luck if you do
I wish I could leave 0.
We made Father’s Day plans and our two parties each drove from about an hour and 30 minutes in each direction to meet here for dinner.
Our server, who was the only genuine highlight of the entire meal, greeted us and immediately told us that about 50% of the menu wasn’t available.
We came for the unique food that they have here and were told that over half the sandwiches were not available as well as the buffalo chili, the buffalo chopped steak, and multiple other dinner entrees. Thankfully if we wanted to pay $45 for the special buffalo New York strip, that was an option.
Everything that we were served registered as low end diner food with no heart, no salt, and no effort put into it. The meatloaf was clearly days old and reheated, as it was as dry as possible, and essentially the texture of a hockey puck. The fries were completely devoid of salt, the buffalo pulled barbecue tasted like the cheapest frozen barbecue option available at Walmart.
Genuinely shocking level of disappointment for a place that has been recognized for so long as a unique and interesting place to eat. We were informed that new management has decided to alter the menu, make certain things not available on certain days, and operate a “winter menu” during the month of June. If you’re going to make changes like this, they should be public and known because your restaurant is an hour from anything and people are driving to the destination, and you are not delivering on the promises of your menu and your website.
Also, I am someone who will gladly spend money on food, but the prices compared to the quality of what we were served is laughable and unacceptable.
$17 for a kids cheeseburger and fries and drink is absolutely insane.
Happened upon this place on a motorcycle ride. What an awesome oasis in the middle of nowhere WV. Really cool old general store with modern family style restaurant. Glad we found it.
My husband and I go here on our anniversary every year and sometimes in between. We loved the fried chicken on Sunday so we went today and got there around noon. It wasn’t packed like before so we didn’t have to wait. Ordered the chicken and ended up with 2 chicken legs that I’m pretty sure was not freshly fried and 2 chicken tenders ( I have tenders at home didn’t need them there) I ordered Mac and cheese and they were out the mashed potatoes were more lumpy then usual thank goodness I had gravy on them. So dissatisfied and will pick another place to go until it gets back to the way it was. They only had chicken legs if you’re wondering if that’s what I ordered. The best part was our waitress and buffalo chips before our meal
You food is super good and delicious 😋 10/10
