First time visitors in Pennington Gap. We stopped and ate at Rooster’s Pub for dinner. We both had the hamburger and seasoned fries and as an appetizer we selected the fried mushrooms. Everything was excellent! Hamburger was juicy, fries were cooked and seasoned just right. Service was excellent as well. Highly recommend if you are ever in this area.

other than the meat and gristle the food was really good but I ordered a cheese steak and the sandwich was full of hard gristle, found atleast 5 chunks, I make alot of food so I know sometimes things happen, I am guessing that is a issue from where they source their food from? not sure but I probably wont be back for awhile, I am not one to say something so I just paid for my food and left but some people I imagine would not be as nice, the other food with it was good and fries were really good.

Came in here after stopping by Axe Handle for a tasting. Justin treated us warmly and jovially, suggesting the Reuben and chicken tenders. My cousin’s tenders dish came with practically a flock of tenders and her two sides. My husband’s Reuben was also large and delicious. Justin was such a gracious host that we’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this pub to our friends.

They are open under new management. The guy who is running the pub is really friendly. He was our waitor and was very attentive. My husband had chicken wings (which was a blend the owner made up and my husband really liked them) along with a side of fries and I had a cheeseburger with fries. Food was delicious and prices were very reasonable. We will definitely go back when we are that direction.

We stopped here for lunch after a motorcycle ride with friends. The owner was amazing, sweet, funny, hard worker and very accommodating. Food was fresh, delicious and served in a reasonable time. Will be back again!!

Roosters was amazing! This place on a Friday night with two large parties and two small parties dining in was run by the owner as flawlessly as she could. Not only did she run the bar, take orders, joke with her customers - but she also was cooking all orders fresh and hot and serving them herself. Please do not come here for a meal if you are in a hurry. You will only find yourself not enjoying your fresh cooked meal. Our food was good. It was served with a positive attitude and a contagious smile.

My family and myself came from California and Georgia. We were trying to find a great place to eat and we found the Rooster ? Pub. We walked in there and we seen Ms Young, such a great lady, but I asked her if she was the only one cooking and serving drinks ?so she asked me what I wanted to drink I said a apple martini! I explained to her how to make it. She did a great job . She had some customers in the restaurant and another customer came in to pick up his order. I said to Ms Young I need five dinners, I tell you she cooked all that food within 25 minutes. We order 2 bacon burgers,Ruben sandwiche, bake chicken, chicken nuggets, bake potatoes and salad, seasons fries. Everything she cooked was great we all enjoyed our food. We ate the remaining of the next day. Anyone out there that needs a job as an bar tender please call Ms. Young, she could use your help. You must be responsible please.
