We had not been to Hornes for a few years, and they didn't disappoint. The service was fast, and the food was delicious. We ordered the chicken fried chicken, and the portion was HUGE and very tasty. We also ordered the patty melt which was full of flavor. If you are in the area, this is a must stop for a meal.
We ran across this place on our way to see family in MD. It felt like we were stepping back in time to when things were simpler, people friendlier, and you don't leave hungry. I got a club sandwich with as many fries as I could eat, and my wife got a shrimp po-boy with sweet potato fries, which she absolutely loved. Our server was absolutely perfect, attentive but not obtrusive, professional but personable. You can shop in the gift shop, buy gasoline and other normal convenience...
