In general the food was good however the cod on seafood platter was tasteless. Everything else was very good. Our server. Valerie, was very attentive.

Just had a magnificent late lunch here.
I had the butterfly fried shrimp, twice baked potatoes and asparagus.
The food was amazing!
My server was incredible-gave me enough attention-but did not pester me while enjoyed my meal.
The view, overlooking the river was wonderful and quite peaceful.
I will be back here!

Really good crab cakes, fries, and collard greens. Kids loved the Mac and cheese. Service was slow because they only had 1 server working.

Nice place, beautiful view, but they drown the cucumber and tomatoes in the salad. Everything else was amazing.

I think they were having an off night. Came here on a Saturday evening with the family. Was seated at 630. Wait staff was very pleasant. At 740 we received our appetizer after asking for it. At 750 we hadnt gotten our meals and it was time to go. Management was nice enough to not charge us for the drinks and appetizer.

I had the broiled crab cake. It was delish. The service was fantastic and the owner greeted my group personally. I loved being on the river.

Great service and close to the water, but they should open the bar, promote and serve on the patio, and spice the fresh seafood to improve the experience.

They are consistently understaffed so expect to wait a lot but the workers they do have are clearly doing their best and it's good food with a nice view of the river

Excellent lunch stop . A
Group of us stopped at this place on recommendation of a friend and it was wonderful. Delicious food and great service. We had a nice window spot with a view of the bridge. Highly recommend! Especially the hush puppies 😋

Do not eat here! I rarely write reviews, but the experience we had here today warrants one. We were celebrating my sisters birthday. We decided to eat here since it WAS one of my dad’s favorite places. We decided to sit outside because it was a gorgeous low heat/humidity August day (which is unheard of in Virginia). The service was terrible, we couldn’t get drink refills, we had to ask three or more times, and finally I went in to get it myself. We waited over an hour-and a half to get our food, and they forgot all the salads. I must have asked for silverware and napkins 4 or 5 times, and after our food sat for about 15 minutes I went in and got them myself. We could see the cook outside at least 10 times taking smoke breaks within the couple of hours we were there. No wonder it took so long to get our food. The fried shrimp were delicious however the crab cakes had an aftertaste of poop. When mentioned to the server she said they were freshly made this morning. I told her to have the cook taste them, she did and said there was too much worchestershire sauce. I’m sorry but worchestershire does not have that awful taste. Other customers came outside to sit and at least 3 groups of people left without getting their food. We were there for over three hours. This was the worst experience we have had in a very long time. Not worth the $250+ that was spent. (They did comp the crab cakes)

We stopped in for lunch, as we usually do when we make the trek from NC to MD. We had our dog with us and wanted to eat on the patio. The gentleman (owner? manager?) said the patio was closed, which we understand, but there aren't a lot of options when traveling with a pet.

He graciously opened the patio for us, served us great food with amazing service and even brought water and a bowl for our dog (we had some, but he didn't know that).

The crab dip and shrimp po boy sandwich were really, really good.

Highly recommend!
