Cuz's Cabins & Restaurant

Been here several times but today will be our last time here. We ordered crab cheese dip- it arrived as a bowl of melted velveeta cheese with no crab and store bought Tostitos. Then they brought what we ordered: I ordered brisket with twice baked potato. Counted in the meat of the brisket were 2 slices of pure fat and the twice baked potato was cold. My husband ordered the catfish- it had absolutely no seasoning on it. It was like spongy water. We did let our waitress know that the dip wasn’t good and the other problems. She brought me another plate and the brisket was good and the potato was hot. However, customer service is highly lacking. I thought with the multiple problems they would at least take the dip off of our bill ( we couldn’t eat it ) That’s a big NOPE. Our waitress said “I am sorry for your experience- come back again and we’ll make it up to you.” Why wouldn’t you make it up to us right then and there? We weren’t expecting a free meal. We have no reason to return- so there’s no way to make it up to us. You’ve lost some loyal customers. We are highly disappointed.

The rolls and waitress were good. That's where the positive ends. For a place that is supposed to be known for their pulled pork, this is simply not "up to par." Of the 4 in my party, none of took more than a bite of our meals. The ranch for the salads simply does not taste like any ranch we've ever had, just wasn't appealing. The pulled pork came out greasy with a ton of fat in it. The sauces they provided were more like a horseradish and a pan sauce from the grease of the meat. When we asked our waitress for a different "normal" bbq sauce, the kitchen sent more of the grease sauce to the table. My daughter received chicken nuggets that were inedible, and after I even tried them, I told her she didn't have to eat them. Again, the waitress was kind and did what she could to help us out when it came time for the check as we ended up with our meal being left on the table. After hearing blazing reviews of this place, we decided to give it a try but unfortunately won't be going back. Sometimes, trying to be too different or unique doesn't always lead to the best results.

Saw a post on TikTok so decided to take a drive and check it out. It was a 1.5 drive each way but SO worth the drive! The food was delicious and our waitress was wonderful! Go before their season is up!

We had a wonderful time at the restaurant and the little cabin. Prime rib was perfectly cooked and huge! The mushroom toast was delicious and unusual. Bread was fresh with real butter. My shrimp dish was spicy, just like I ordered with lots of fresh vegetables. Decor was truly different, and fun!
The cabin was nice, had a great fireplace with lots of wood, and 2 rocking chairs to watch the fire or TV.
Very quiet, lots of birds and thick grass, little stream, trees were at peak fall color, and we were cozy and warm!
Missed bowls for breakfast, but we were too full from the dinner anyway!

Great food and lively atmosphere ?

We had a huge party and they were on top of everything! Food was excellent. Service was somehow even better than excellent. I can see where this place is so popular.

Food, for the most part was delicious as always. Ordered the flight of sangria's, they were watered down. Ordered the potato cakes....had a nice flavor, but were runny. Potato cakes should be a patty, like a burger or salmon cake, not thin and runny. The oyster k-bobs have also been reduced.....you use to get 6 oysters, apparently now you only get 3 as well ordered two orders. Also, when you come by to check on us, please remove empty dishes. I was handed my dessert, with no place to sit it down due to empty plates not being removed. I mean, why are you walking away empty handed????

DON'T DO IT!! I wish we read some of these reviews. The entire experience was terrible. We had 11 people in our group and no one like their food. The decor was beyond weird. The restraunt is just confusing.

My baked potato was burnt tasting, sauces tasted nasty. My bread was so hard I couldn't even eat it. My husbands catfish was over cooked and his steamed vegetables were still hard.

Such a great experience. Food is wonderful! Tastes like it just came from the farm. I am Celiac and they made sure I got a gluten free meal. I give this place a 10/10!

Yvonne, needs to get a grip on her job or be fired. Been coming here 10 plus years and have never been disrespected like I have today, Kathy told me to shut up and tried to bring the same small prime rib that cost 40 dollars and told me it’s only 5% burnt I wanted a rare prime rib and it’s all burnt and cooked wrong it came out medium and burnt, nothing red about the steak telling me I was too loud and she could hear me when there was other tables full, accused me of going behind the counter where the server was, might I add the server was completely embarrassed and tired to refuse a tip all because Kathy wanted to act like she’s some top notch head caller, customers are always right and if you can’t teach Kathy to be appropriate and respectful to customers then she should be fired, I promise I will not be disrespected by someone who acts a fool and wants to down customers. I promise big Mike would roll in his grave if he knew about this. I’ll continue to make reviews and so forth until I get an apology all because I wanted my food right and to top it off she put her finger on my food and tried to still hand it back. Y’all need to do better or get better employees because with enough reviews yall won’t be a business.

There were 7 of us and no one could eat the food because it was so bad!
Hands down it was the absolute worst any of us has ever eaten.
The waitress was really nice, but she wasn’t real positive when we asked what was good!
As for the room: I like eclectic, but all I have to say is: what the heck was that!

Cuz's is always a great experience! The good is excellent! Try all the seafood! The staff is wonderful and service is wonderful. They are like family
