About 1933 Public House

1933 Public House is a welcoming restaurant that can accommodate large parties and provides great service. It has a fun updated country chic atmosphere and a covered patio that guests enjoy. The food is tasty and comes in generous portions, featuring options like fish and chips, burgers, and the highly recommended Pig & Fig Flatbread. The atmosphere is modern and fresh, with a lively main bar room, but guests can request a quieter side room if preferred. The staff is friendly and attentive, with experienced servers, and the owner and chef often visit tables to ensure a great experience. We went at Easter and it was great. Then my husband and I went another time for a date and it was delicious food and great service.

PLEASE stop changing the menu!!!! Bring back the mushroom flatbread and Mediterranean salad!!!! The mushroom flatbread has been a mainstay since the beginning and the Mediterranean salad was beyond delicious! There are ZERO decent vegetarian options in Powhatan and your new options do NOT come close! You guys have changed the menu SO many times and I get it but enough is enough.

Very Nice decor but food is mediocre at best. Went there tonight. Shrimp and watermelon appetizer is not worth ordering. Poor taste and presentation; tails left on shrimp and no bread or crackers to accompany. Also no bread available with salads/entrees (we offered to pay for bread as appetizer)and oysters in Oysters Rockefeller were cool and still attached to shells. Not appropriate way to serve them. $250 for four - over priced. A Good point - at least the Steak temp was cooked...read full review
