Allen's Chinese Restaurant

Ordered beef with snow peas. The flavor of the meat was delicious, however I got rotten snow peas. Almost everyone of the snow peas had black spots all over them. My meal looked unhealthy. We have tried Allen's Chinese Restaurant several times and was hoping that the food would soon taste better, but it has not. This is my last order I will place with Allen's Chinese Restaurant.

Good food. Its about 45 mins from us but we like their flavors. I just wish the combination plates they have for lunch they would serve at dinner!!!

Yum, best Chinese food around!

I ordered a large wonton soup. I got a quart of broth with 4 TINY flat wontons. I deconstructed them and all total there was less than a tablespoon of filling for the 4 wontons. The wontons were falling apart and very gummy. Definitely won't be going back there.

I do not understand I order regular egg rolls and there is shrimp in it I am highly allergic to shrimp. There is nothing on their menu that says anything about shrimp being in the egg rolls.

I don’t know why you bought this restaurant. It sucks. You people need to follow the recipes as they were given to you because you don’t know how to cook

My mother and I ate here. She and my dad had eaten there before. The free appetizer of pickled cucumbers were fresh and delicious. The Governor chicken and the seafood dish my mom got were very good. I would recommend and I will definitely go back.

Had lunch with a friend. Customer service was very friendly and prompt. Egg rolls came out piping hot, had to wait to eat. Their Chinese mustard was the best I have had in a long time. I ordered cashew shrimp which comes with a clear sauce. I asked for mine with a brown sauce, no problem. Entrees came out fast, hot a fresh. Very much enjoyed! Will be go to place when in Powhatan!!

New management is terrible check receipts and bank statements... Never had a issue before always ordered delivery and now it’s gross

Ordered General Tso's for dinner takeout and could not eat it. Had to throw all of it away as the meat had a weird gushy texture and the friend rice had a ball of burned rice in the middle. Sadly the quality that Allen's used to have is gone with the change in ownership. We've been eating here for years but will no longer return as this is not the first mishap since the change.

This evening we had a spring and egg roll, hot and sour soup all of which were good. However, the sesame chicken tasted dry and chewy. Like as if it had been made about 2-3 days ago. Didn't settle on our stomach well either.
