We have been going to Cerro Azul since they opened years ago. Outstanding food and service. It has started getting a little crowded lately with very little room to walk and have to squeeze between tables.

Been going here 16 years and today’s was the straw that broke the camels back. Tried to order takeout on way home in car, I only had cash no cards. Guy on the phone says they take cash but won’t start the order until I get there to pay them. So I would have to wait the full length of times it takes to make the items. At that point it’s no longer carry out, it’s sit down with extra steps. I asked why they don’t take cash and he said it was because their pickup system got abused. Ok whatever so During Covid they put their to-go orders on a table and didn’t check who picked them up. It was obvious the system was ripe for abuse because anyone could walk in and just take an order. Apparently now this has come full circle and they are now punishing cash paying customers for their previous failure to setup a proper pick order system. Because of some bad apples now the good customers who never had anything to do with your order theft are being punished. Sorry to say but I just hung up the phone and went with your competitor down the street.

So surprised that a diet soda cost $4.15 plus tax. Water from here on out for me.
And that was true on 4/3, just water for our table with delicious zucchini boats filed with grilled veggies (added grilled chicken too). Plenty to share.

This place was good. I had the fajitas and they were ok. My daughter had the carne asada tacos and they were outstanding. The guy that brought the chips asked about a white sauce they had available, we tried it but didn't care for it. Overall I was satisfied with the place and I will be back.
When you first pull up you may be deterred since it is tucked in a little strip mall, but do not be. This is the best Mexican food around! From the food, staff, and atmosphere I would recommend this is anyone.
